2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Base Ed / Diamond Special Edition SLT 151,128 miles Black/Silver trim, gray leather automatic Vehicle ran fine until just before Christmas 2012. Key fob door openers suddenly stopped working. Truck went into Passlock Security mode one morning and would not start. Reset the security system and the truck started and ran fine for about two weeks. Truck went into Passlock Security mode again and now will start, but not run. The Passlock Security system shuts down the fuel injector system right after starting. Scan Codes: B2957 Security System Data Circuit Low B3031 Security System In Learn Mode Several bypass attempts have been completed and a bypass module was installed that helped, but did not fix the issue. The Body Control Module BCM appears to not be sending the proper password to the PCM computer in the engine compartment. Probably needs a new BCM to be installed. The BCM can be purchased online, but must be memory loaded by someone with the proper scan equipment after installation on the SUV. The two under dash panels are still off ( visible on the pass seat floor ) because the buyer would need to remove them anyway to make the repair. Looks like the BCM just snaps into place right under the radio. All screws are still in the SUV and it takes about 10 minutes to replace those panels. The interior is in good condition with minor wear and one small 3/4in cut/wear spot on drivers seat. Not easily noticed, but it's there and the drivers seat naturally wears first in leather seats. We were going to clean the carpets after the repair, but haven't. Of course, it will be vacuumed out for the buyer. The CD and sunroof work fine and the vehicle had been maintained well. The battery is fairly new. One small piece of outside moulding off ( picture ) passenger side. We simply don't want to bother with fixing it. Would make a great second or snow vehicle or perhaps a nice hunting truck. SUV is in fairly good shape with little to no rust.
