  1969 DODGE PICKUP VERY STRAIGHT, SOLID, CLEAN & RESTORABLE CLASSIC "MECHANICS SPECIAL". THIS ONE WILL MAKE AN EZ CLASSIC PICKUP TO RESTORE OR JUST MAKE INTO A NOSTALGIC DAILY DRIVER. HAS A 318ci V8 & A 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION. THE 3I8 V8 RUNS GOOD AT START UP, BUT AS IT WARMS UP DEVELOPS A KNOCK WITHIN A MINUTE OR TWO. ALTHOUGH IT WOULD EASILY DRIVE ONTO A TRANSPORT TRUCK, THIS ONE SHOULD HAVE THE ENGINE REPAIRED BEFORE IT IS DRIVEN ANY DISTANCE. HOWEVER WHEN WE DROVE IT OVER TO TAKE THE PICTURES, THE 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD, THE BRAKES & STEERING BOTH WORKED GREAT & IT GOES DOWN THE ROAD NICELY. THE FRONT END, GRILL, ETC. ARE OVERALL ALL VERY NICE! STRAIGHT & SOLID! OTHER THAN A FEW SMALL DINGS, IT IS REMARKABLY STRAIGHT & CLEAN FOR BEING ALMOST 45 YEARS OLD! MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK UP ON A HOIST & LOOKED IT OVER PRETTY THOROUGHLY & IT IS OVERALL VERY SOLID THROUGHOUT. THE ONLY AREAS WE FOUND WITH ACTUAL RUST ON THE WHOLE TRUCK ARE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE ROCKER PANEL & THE DRIVERS SIDE FLAT PORTION OF THE FLOORBOARD HAS BEEN ALREADY REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY FUNCTIONAL REPAIR AND I BELIEVE WAS DONE WITH STAINLESS STEEL? BUT IF YOU WANT TO RESTORE THE TRUCK TO ORIGINAL, YOU MAY WANT TO REDO THE FLOORBOARD REPAIR WITH ORIGINAL STAMPED STEEL. BUT THIS WOULD BE SIMPLE TO DO SINCE BOTH AREAS ARE VERY EZ TO ACCESS. IF THE BUYER WOULD LIKE WE CAN HAVE THESE AREAS PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED AT OUR WHOLESALE COST FOR THEM. THE REST OF THE TRUCK INCLUDING THE AREAS THESE USUALLY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ARE ALL IN VERY NICE SHAPE. HERE ARE THE PARTICULARS: VIN: 1181877084 ODOMETER READING: 33318 LIKE ALL OF OUR VEHICLES 10 YEARS & OLDER IT IS BEING SOLD AS:MILES EXEMPT. ALL GLASS IS GOOD. HAS A RARE FACTORY SET OF APPLIANCE 16" RIMS WITH A NICE SET OF ORIGINAL HUBCAPS. TIRES HAVE TREAD ON ALL 4 & WOULD WORK JUST FINE FOR MOVING THE TRUCK AROUND. BUT THEY ARE OLD & TIRED AND SHOULD BE REPLACED BEFORE TOO MUCH LONGER. HAS REALLY NICE CLASSIC BODY LINES & THE BODY TRIM IS ALL IN GREAT SHAPE. TAILGATE IS ALSO IN GOOD SOLID SHAPE! MANY OF THESE ARE RUSTED OUT ALONG THE BOTTOM, BUT THIS ONE IS SOLID. BOTH BODY SIDES ARE NICE & CLEAN! NICE FACTORY TAILLIGHTS TOO. HEAVY DUTY REAR BUMPER IS SOLID & STRAIGHT. EVEN THE BED FLOOR AND INSIDE PANELS ARE STRAIGHT & SOLID. AS MENTIONED EARLIER, THE TRUCK IS REMARKABLE STRAIGHT & IN FACT I BELIEVE THE WORST "DENTS" ON THE WHOLE TRUCK ARE VISIBLE IN THE PHOTO ABOVE. THE 2 VISIBLE ON THE TAILGATE & ONE ABOVE THE DRIVERS SIDE TAILLIGHT. DRIVER'S SIDE REAR PIC. INTERIOR: DASH IS CLEAN & ORIGINAL. GAUGES ARE IN VERY NICE SHAPE. HAS GAUGE PACKAGE AND RADIO DELETE PANEL. ETC. SEAT IS VERY FIRM & COMFORTABLE. THE DRIVERS SIDE ROCKER RUST HAS NOT DAMAGED THE STEP AREA & IS PRIMARILY THE PANEL UNDERNEATH. DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS SOLID & STRAIGHT! NO RUST ISSUES UNDERNEATH. PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR IS NICE TOO! SAME NICE SOLID & STRAIGHT CONDITION. VIEW OF THE REAR CARGO INTERIOR. RUST DISCOLORATION IN THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE PICTURE WAS JUST SURFACE RUST ONLY AND IS GONE NOW. IT CLEANED OFF WITH SOME STEEL WOOL. OTHER THAN THE KNOCK, THE 318ci V8 RUNS GOOD! THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS ALSO IN NICE SHAPE AS WELL. SOLID & CLEAN. MECHANICAL: SIZE: 318ci V8 RUNS GOOD. BUT NEEDS REPAIR. TRANSMISSION: TYPE: MANUAL 4 SPEED SHIFTS GREAT. BRAKES CONDITION: SMOOTH & SOLID! STEERING CONDITION: NICE & SMOOTH. WHEELS: RARE FACTORY 16" STEEL WHEELS. TIRES: TIRED. NICE OLD PICKUP! NEEDS A GOOD NEW HOME! All vehicles need to be picked up within 2 weeks after sale ends unless arrangements are agreed on prior to your bid. Owners who do not pick up their vehicles within that time will be charged storage fees for that vehicle. (So, if you will need a little longer to pick up your vehicle, please make arrangements with us before you bid.) Vehicle inspections are welcome prior to your bid. Non-paying winning bidders will be turned over to a national collection agency & will be responsible for the full amount of the bid & any additional collections or legal fees incurred.
