Vehicle Detail
This Mercedes is extremely nice, has the most desired color combination, looks beautiful and rides like a dream. Up until 2 years ago, the car was driven by my dad. The car was left to me when my dad died (3-3-2011). I then used the car to drive back and forth from Tampa to Ft.Lauderdale and put about 40,000 miles on the car. However, the car still has below-average miles (9,900/year). The car has never been to the paint shop for any issue. It has never been wrecked or in any accident. Never smoked or drank in. It was garage kept its entire life. As you can see, the "Auto-Check Score" is 85, which is higher than their highest score. I am selling the car because I am moving to Phoenix in 23 days and I have a company car when I get there. These cars (especially the black/tan) are selling in this condition and mileage at Autorader for around $10,000 to $11,500. Feel free to look them up I took the car to the service shop last week for a tune up and oil and transmission (oil) change. The engine runs like new and the transmission shifts like it did when it was new. The AC is very cold! ISSUES: While I was at the shop, the mechanic informed me that the car needs a new "control modular" because it was draining the battery a "little more than it should." The cost for them to do the work was $500. I choose not to do the work at that time so I could research the real cost. I found them online for $211 (will supply the link). Also, my fiancé backed the car into our garage pole (2 mph) twice, so there are some scratches on the back bumper - in the middle and the passenger side (see pictures). To paint and buff out the bumper, to get rid of the scratches will cost you $400. Add to this minor stuff that would cost perhaps $100 (cup holder etc.) to make the car like new. In summary, for a total tune up (control modular), touch-up paint and misc. stuff, the cost would be around $1,000. Therefore, this is what I decided to do: Instead of selling the car quickly for $8,500 (after I had the car completely touched up and all issues resolved), I am willing to sell it for $6,900 or as high as the auction will go. This gives you the $1,000 to fix up the car and still be in it for less than $7,900 which is STILL about $2,100 to $3,300 less than any average C320 in average condition. To be clear, if the car is being sold "AS-IS" (you fix the issues). You are welcome to come drive it or have it inspected. Title is in hand. Any questions, call 954-765-7000 (Mark) Thank you.
