This 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco was inherited by our grandchild and we are selling it for him. The car was purchased with 3,700 miles on odometer in 1986 by other granparent, a college professor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Car has been on pavement entire lifetime in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. Previous owners were non-smokers and are personally known to us. Maintainance records from 1986 to date are available. Original owner's manual, plus a repair manual with parts list on CD are included. Transmisson was removed in October of 2012... the car needs 3rd gear and shifter assembly repaired. Transmission is in a cardboard box in rear of vehicle. Could not find replacement parts here in Arkansas. Motor seems sound, but with high mileage. CV joints need replacement. Tires good with approximately 75% of tread. Upholstery original, in tact, needs cleaning. Exterior body straight, except damage to right rear fender as noted in pictures. Many original parts to salvage or for rebuild. We are selling complete car "as is ". We are not interested in selling individual parts of the car. Located in NW Arkansas between Fort Smith and Fayetteville. We will deliver for prepaid fee to any US location in lower 48, weather permitting. The latter ones during a rainstorm...and the windows appear to be frosty. They are not. The hinges on the hatch do not function, and the window has to be propped up,,,last owner used a stick. There is a spare tire with the car that is road ready. The car also has a functional radio, and the 2 missing centers of the wheel covers are in the car. There is very little rust on this vehicle, as it has been in the dry air of Oklahoma.
