Vehicle Detail

92 Corvette BLK/R. 6speed. Runs and drives. has some paint fading and a little interior issues. The Air conditioning works. I replaced the Bose stereo with a Kenwood. I will try to update the pics and any extra info I can during the listing. So, if you are interested try and check back frequently for any updated revisions and pics. Now the mechanical issues. 1.The suspension ride selector is stuck in performance mode and the light remains on on the dash. I have spoke to people who are Corvette enthusiasts as well as a person from a corvette dealership and they have told me the same. It does not cause the car any harm. Besides it is a performance car not a luxury car. 2. It will need a new Distributor. I had the car tested on a Code Reader at a garage and the code came up the distributor needed replaced. The car has a miss and occasionally backfires so it is not getting proper spark. The work is going to cost $1000-$1500 if you have a garage do it. I have found the proper part for as low as $400 but would require a person who is good with cars...... revisions: One more issue that I needed to address. The Door key had got stuck in the Driver side door. I had a new key cylinder re-keyed by a locksmith. After installing the key would unlock the door, but, it would not turn to 3o'clock causing the alarm to not deactivate from the driver side. I was not sure how to adjust it. For now the car must be unlocked from the passenger side to disarm the alarm..... Due to financial issues am forced to sell. Recently I lost my ability to store the car from the weather. I would rather see the car find a good home, instead of deteriorate. If I was not struggling financially I would have the car repaired and it would not be for sale......You won't find a better car that you could have less than $5000-$6000 invested with repairs included.... Thanks for looking....On Jan-01-13 at 12:02:52 PST, seller added the following information: Revisions: I wanted to clarify the last statement. The sentence that says " You won't find a better car that could have less than ......". I did not mean I would have the repair work done for you. The Reserve price is low enough that someone could have the car and repairs done for under $5-6K. And yes a person good with cars could complete it for under $5000 total. On Jan-03-13 at 12:54:45 PST, seller added the following information: Hi All, I felt it was important to try and communicate with everyone about questions and thoughts. We are over half way on the Auction and it's actually getting hard to answer each person on an individual basis. The car has had over 800 views, 44 on the watch list and multiple inquiries. It's safe to say there is alot of interest in the vehicle. The car is real. Obviously this is not a show car but it is still nice enough to not feel embarrased in it! The car does run. It could be drove home if you don't live some ridiculous amount of miles away! I would even consider delivering the car up to 150 miles from it's present location but I would want some gas money At least for one of my 2 cars, I would have to have someone follow me so I get back home! Also, the car could be driven as a toy on occasions and not mess with the repairs right away. I would'nt use it as a daily driver without the repairs. It will pass inspections and is presently inspected till Summer 2013 in the State of PA.I have been driving the car about 3000 miles a year and have only put 9K on since I bought it. The carfax shows one accident. The car report shows it was reported on 2/11/2010. I know nothing about that accident and did not see that in the report when I purchased the car. My purchase date shows 7/12/10, which will be clear when you the BUYER sees the title. I am 42 years old, have my CDL's and consider myself a very good driver. I bought the car off of a younger person, I know I examined the carfax and did not see that. If you examine the report it says noncollision. I asked the kid of any known Accidents and he said no. By the Report he did not make 500 miles in the car without an incident. Alittle more on the things that can be seen visually. In the interior, the passenger side is 100% Beautiful. On the Driver side, there is a little tear in the driver seat, a little bit of the stitching is bad but hard to notice, and the Floorboard carpet and the Floormat both have a spot where the red of the carpet has worn. All of these interior issues can be seen, upon careful inspection of the photos, except the stitching. The Exterior is all original paint. On the front alittle of the clear coat it cracking, But is still all black. On the back, some of the clear coat is faded but still retains a Black appearance, Which also can be seen in the photos. And a couple of scratches. Overall the appearance of the car is a 7/10. What would you expect from a 21 year old car, it is used. It is very rare to find a 6 Speed for under $6000 and most are alot more than that. So please don't compare a Brown, low miled Automatic to this car. While I still appreciate them and would gladly drive one. People dealing in cars want it for $3000-3600 they can make the repairs and sell it for $8000. I absolutely will not take less than my Reserve price. The Reserve is $4000. If you are not a car dealer this is the deal of a lifetime. If this is a car that in your heart you want I would at a very minimum, asap, place the Reserve price. I have to sell. If you are a car dealer suck it up and pay the $4000. If $4000 dollars sounds like too much for a car like this then you should not be doing anything other than dreaming about Corvettes. Guaranteed this is the nicest corvette for $4000 you will find. I am adding a Buy it Now for $4200 giving anyone the opportunity to guarantee it's theirs. Happy bidding and Good luck! On Jan-05-13 at 09:34:36 PST, seller added the following information: I figured I should also add this information... I do still have the Bose stereo and it will come with the car. It did not work when I bought the car. It seemed easiest to just replace it with a functional stereo. I can give better details about it to the winner! You can decide if you want to have the Bose repaired.... Good Luck everyone...
