This is a beautiful black on black xj8. It is a head turner that I hate to let go. It is a jaguar through and through. That said. the bad first...this model was notorious for the plastic upper timing chain breaking and that is what has happened to this one. Other than that it is fine, smothe and clean for its age. the healiner is sagging in the rear, the cd player in the trunk is missing. She is as quick as a cat when running. Winning bidder must tow vehicle home. I have not attempted to start the vehicle since I heard the tensioner break. This was the second jag that I had do that and not turning the crank without the proper tension on the chain makes the repair much cheaper. They have the kits on ebay from $71.00 to $250.00 dollars depending on how much you want to change one the valve cover etc is removed for the repair.
