im selling this 1966 buick riviera at no reserve..if car does not sell i have a spot reserved for it in a storage garage and will advertise in april for more money,dont miss out...i recently purchased this car that has been in dry storage since 1984.i have spent the past few weeks getting the car back to how you see it now..first thing i did was get it running..installed a brand new battery,new set of plugs,wires,cap,rotor,points,and fresh oil..poured a little gas in the carb and it started right up...and this engine runs like a watch...once i got it running i started on the brakes...brand new master cylinder,replaced both rear brake lines and left front line,others look great..i installed a new fuel pump also as i noticed it was leaking out the little vent hole...mechanicly car seems 100 percent,and let me say again,it runs super smooth..i had to install a new windsheild as original one was cracked..cleaned and painted the metal part of the dash and cleaned and prepped the windsheild area before installig with a new ribbon..the dash pad on the car and the entire dash is as nice as a 50 year old car gets...that goes for the entire interior,the only real flaw in the whole inside is the side of driver seat that is ripped,the inside of this car will not dissapoint!!!!!the rims are nice driver quality in my opinion,the tires are very nice..ecxhaust i was told was installed all new right before it was put away...the car has 96000 original miles .the car was painted back in the early 80s and for being that old of a paint job it looks very good..no real vissable rust on outside of car with only a small blister on pass door down low where the chrome moulding runs across..the frame and floors are solid .the underneath looks like a 50 year ol car,scally more towards the rear of the car..again,looks like a 50 year ol car underneath.i spent my time on the important stuff,if car doesnt sell and i keep ill spend time detailing the underneath..i believe vinyl top is original and shows very well,no real issues other then a few bubbles on the rear pass side of back window..i pulled rear glassjust because i wanted to make sure i didnt have a car with a leaky back window..there was a little bit of rust under the vinyl so i peeled it back,cleaned and scraped the rust off the top ,cleand and primed and re glued back down.the rust had made bumps in the top and i tried for awhile with a heat gun but after all the years they just wont smooth out,like i said its only along where the top meets the side of theback window. ..and who knows,over time they might shrink back down,and there very small bumps...all windows work,and they work good by the way...all gauges seem to work and work acurate...the head light work and open and close properly.the only thing the car is really missing is the 2 small lower chrome mouldings on pass side,and the rear pass wheel well chrome..car is pretty much as original as it gets,and the color combination with the white and burgandy interior looks great..please,ask questions before you bid,this is no reserve.......i reserve the right to end the auction as car is for sale locally,i feel my starting price is more then fair,and i believe in the spring i can get thousands more,ive seen these cars do rediculous money,so good luck...315-725-5493 scottOn Dec-22-12 at 06:19:01 PST, seller added the following information: update}12-22-12...have had a few questions about assistance in shipping.i will be more then happy to help with setting up a time to have car picked up..i would only need an hour notice or so..thanks
