Vehicle Detail

The Car: Its a 1989 5.0 mustang hatch. Its hands down the cleanest unmolested (lightlty molested) mustang you will find. It has 69k on the odometer, however, the engine was replaced under powertrain warranty by Wilshore Ford in Wilmette at 41k for piston slap on cold starts after sitting 2-3-days, so there's only 28k on this engine. It has the Gray tweed GT interior, power windows/locks, factory moonroof. I had the 2:73 gear replaced with a 3:73 from Ford Motorsport soon after the engine replacement. I then had a Karry Bros. custom one- off stall converter with lockup eliminator built and installed in the original rebuilt AOD. Other mods include: underdrive pulleys, phenolic spacer, offroad exhaust and cat backwith great sound (mufflers sad though), trans cooler, 16" ponys, ported upper intake and mass air. The car is near perfect and has never seen snow. It has always been stored indoors and for the winters. I included underneath pics of the floors and torque boxes just to stress how clean this car is. It still smells new inside even. I still have all of the original parts that came off the car except the orig exhaust. I even have the original 10 hole wheels with the ORIGINAL Eagle VR60's! The tires are Eagle GSD's and are pretty shot, I have 4 Brand new Goodyears that go with it that have been stored in my house. The windshield has a crack, I will try to schedule a windshield replacement this week but I want to be here to make sure its done right. If for some reason they cant get out, I'll subtract from the final price for the replacement. To see the cars story keep reading, thanks for looking-Kevin The Story: So, I bought the car back in 1994. It was by far the largest purchase I had ever made and I treated it that way. I spent almost as much time waxing it as I did driving it. I drove the car regularly (in the summer) until 1999 or so. We bought our current home, and since we moved in, the car stayed in storage except for 1 or 2 days per summer where i'd drive it to work to stretch its legs. In 2001 I told my daughter, who was 2 at the time, that this could be her car when she starts driving. I know she doesnt remember that conversation, but somehow she knows that this is her car. (shes 14 now.) I've convinced her that she'd be better off with a Honda or the like so here it goes. Please come look at it if your in the area, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Last year I was offered $6500 from a mustang guy, I have the reserve set below whats it's worth but it's the lowest I'll take, $5300 I Will add interior photos tomorrowOn Dec-17-12 at 12:39:00 PST, seller added the following information: So, I added the interior pics today and then looked at them, the pics make the carpet look dirty, its not, its just the pic.
