Vehicle Detail

My husband and I purchased our 1974 260Z, or as we fondly called it, "the Zber", and are the original owners. Being professed "neat nuts" the Zber has been fastidiously cared for and maintained these last 38 years. So why sell? My husband passed away ten years ago and while I regret to sell, the Zber is financially impractical to keep in commercial storage. Over the years my husband and I luckily had home garages for the Zber but with my move in 2007, I have been storing the Zber in an excellent facility but at a cost of $100 per month. In addition, with its off-site location, it is not as convenient to take it out for a regular spin. For sure, I would love to see my Zber transition to someone who can spend time with it and drive it as it should be. I apologize for the pictures as they were taken at the storage unit in 2007 for purposes of my insurance carrier, certainly not for marketing the car today. I can send specific additional pictures if requested however. The car has not been "modified" (if this is the correct term) as many other Z's seen on Ebay. The car mechanically runs like it did driving off the lot in 1974. The Zber has had usual maintenance and some needed repairs from time to time. The most notable items are a new clutch assembly as well as clutch slave and master cylinders. The car does not and has never had air conditioning. The cigarette lighter knob is missing although it may be under the seat. The only other items that I might mention is my husband hit our stone mailbox many years ago going very slowly, yet a new bumper was required. The hood, roof, and maybe the doors were repainted many years ago due to some speckling on the finish. The finish still looks good. There are a few scratches in the hatchback by the keylock caused by keychains. There are a few minor marks or scratches near the battery compartment, I suspect from a mechanics' tools setting there. Under the front license plate, there are a couple small dents, probably from getting too close to a curb. Under the bumper in the back, my moving company unfortunately secured the Zber with straps putting dents on either side. I believe this part of the car is called the valance. In my opinion, the marks are minor--normal wear and tear--and do not materially affect the finish and beauty of the car, yet I wanted Bidders to know. The dents under the front and back bumpers are inconspicuous because they are low, but since this buy/sell process is based upon only pictures and Seller's honesty, I simply want to be forthright. The seatbelt(s) are intact but the shoulder straps were removed though I have them in a box for Buyer. The tires have about 2,500 miles on them and a new battery was installed in 2011. Since my husband and I owned other cars, I do not recall that the Zber has been driven in snow since it was primarily for fun and sporting around town with the windows down in the warm months. The Zber is being sold "as is" with no refunds or warranties--expressed, written, or implied. Bidders are urged to inspect and/or ask questions prior to making a bid. Included are a clear title, original owner's manual, a consumer glossy provided by Datsun, along with what appears to be the original sticker label. I request a nonrefundable $500 deposit with 24 hours of auction's end using PayPal. Balance is due within seven (7) days of auction end using electronic bank to bank wire transfer, or cash. Upon notice and guarantee of monies received and deposited to my account, arrangements can be made for pickup and title transfer. Buyer is responsible for all costs, including but not limited to shipping costs, taxes, title and/or transfer fees. The winning bidder must email me immediately with a contact phone number to discuss the transfer logistics. Please feel free to email with any questions and I will respond as quickly as possible. Thank you for your interest in my Zber.
