Vehicle Detail
This is a re-Post due to non-paying bidder: Money issues forces us to sell our '67 Mustang. This is a nice car, driven weekly. We get compliments wherever we take it. We were hoping to restore and show the car and drive it for many years to come but that's not going to work out. The car was painted when I bought it so I don't know what it looked like prior to paint. I included pictures of the 3 issues. 1 appears to be bondo on the trunk lid and the other 2 are rust spots on the driver's side. To date we have over $9000 invested in the car. I have extra pictures I can send you if you like so just email me. Here are the details on the car: 1967 Mustang Coupe. 289 2-barrel. (not hypo). C4 Automatic.(Engine is original numbers matching. Original 3-speed transmission was swapped for the C4 auto by the previous owner.) 9" Rearend. Car is not fully restored but has had some restoration work done. Car was painted appx. 3 years ago. Lots of interior work. New seats, carpet, and headliner. Floor pans in excellent shape. Also Alpine USB deck with 5 1/4's in the front and 6x9's in the rear. Front kick panels replaced. Many chrome pieces also replaced. Engine kept tuned and regular maintenance done. All fluids just serviced a week ago. The engine smokes a little but runs strong. Tires are like new. Wheels are excellent. New battery. (kept on trickle charger) Car is garaged. What the car needs to continue to be a driver: - Transmission dipstick tube leaks. - Parking pin slips occassionally. - Fix front turn signal. - Doors/windows operate but could be tightened up. What the car needs to be restored: - Ring job or rebuild engine. - Fix 2 rust spots on drivers door and front fender. (see photos) - Re-do dent in trunk lid. (cracking) - Replace body mounts. We are in Montrose, CO. We are 5-hours from Denver via I-70 and Highway 50. We are 1 hour from Grand Junction and 1.5 hours from Telluride. We have the clean title in hand. Looking for a no nonsense sale. That's why we priced it this way. Email me with any questions and I will be glad to help. I am not a mechanic however so please keep that in mind. SHIPPING & PAYMENT If you are planning on having the car shipped, PLEASE do your research up front and don't expect me to arrange shipping for you. My suggestion is you go to www.totalcarshipping.com (bonded & insured) and make sure you understand the price to ship and all the details. I will be glad to work with you and be there when the shipper picks up. I have the clean title in hand and will sign that and mail it to you upon payment. If you're not comfortable with the payment options, ($500 within 24-hours and balance due within 7 days) please contact me in advance. If you want to use an escrow service, please have that set up before you bid. PayPal is always an option as there are processes within PayPal to address any problems that might come up.On Dec-14-12 at 12:09:19 PST, seller added the following information: * Just to clarify as I am receiving some emails about re-posting the car. The last winning bidder of the last auction backed out of the deal. Hence, the "Shipping & Payment" section I added to the end of the listing. The key here is please know what you're getting into when you bid. If you win the auction you are responsible for picking up on the car or arranging shipping. I should add one last thing, the last bidder, I believe, did not anticipate shipping costs from Colorado to New York of $800 and that is why he backed out of the deal. It would really benefit anyone bidding if you did this research up front. Thank you.On Dec-15-12 at 10:34:07 PST, seller added the following information: * Per email requests - added pictures of motor and undercarriage/floor pans.On Dec-16-12 at 08:07:12 PST, seller added the following information: * Paint is Chrysler Tangerine Pearl Metallic. Widely available. I have a bottle of touch-up paint that will go with the car. (I believe Chrysler used this color primarily on PT Cruisers. Google "Chrysler Tangerine Pearl" and you will see lots of information and examples.)
