Vehicle Detail
Call Greg Arnold @ The Car Store of Poughkeepsie 914-456-1215 with any questions or email me directly at thecarstore5813@aol.com. The Car Store of Poughkeepsie is proud to offer yet another unique opportunity to purchase a garage kept time capsule. They are only original once and this car has all the documentation to back it up from when it was sold new for a total cost of $4412.91 on 7-16-1970 by Bryne Bros. Chevrolet in No, White Plains, NY to it's original purchaser in the upscale town of Katonah,NY in pricey Westchester County. It was always registered, garaged, insured and stored at this address until his passing away. I purchased it from his estate and was just thrilled to find all the original documentation of purchase including the original bill of sale, financing & insurance documents and the original temporary registration certificate issued upon delivery on 7-17-70. Additionally every insurance card issued from 1972 thru 1990 is present and even more importantly every service record from 3-15-77 @ 55,000 miles to 12-11-95 @ 131,507 miles !! That only 2000 miles less than the car has now. But wait there's more : on 11-5-93 @ 123,419 the owner had a brand new complete GM Goodwrench Service Replacement Engine installed at a cost of $2901.13 Simple math means this engine only has just over 10,000 miles on it since installation. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle from garage storage it only needed a simple jump start to fire up and run. It was then driven onto my car trailer and brought to my dealership. All the pictures you see are at my dealership. The original Bill of Sale lists the following as optional equipment and accessories : V8 engine Turbo trans AM radio PS WSW tires Green vinyl roof Green vinyl trim Remote mirror All tinted glass Wheel covers (pics show aftermarket wires : originals in trunk) Air Conditioner (it's the factory Fridgidaire type) power brakes and Undercoat. It also lists all the owner info, selling dealer info, prices & fees plus the trade in allowance of the owners 1967 Chevy 4dr. This info will be kept private until the vehicle is sold then transferred to the new owner upon purchase. All the original documentation listed accompanies this sale. Be advised that this is a complete & original vehicle in need of a total restoration if that is the purchasers intent. The Hood, trunk lid,F&R bumpers and front upper/lower grilles are in very good condition. The front fenders have substantial lower rust but the steel inner fenders inside the engine bay look great. The car does not appear to have had any collision damage as evidenced by still having an original looking radiator support and factory stickers on same. The bulkhead cowl is completely intact and retains the original factory VIN plate with option codes. This car was built in Canada on 6/70 and the original GM Federal Safety and Compliance door sticker is still present, intact and legible as seen in the pics. There is rust thru at the very bottoms of the rear quarter panels but more than acceptable for a 42+ year old car. The interior seating surfaces are in good shape and the headliner isn't torn or sagging. Carpeting is worn and dirty but intact. The dash, climate controls and instrument cluster are complete and in good shape not withstanding age and the steering wheel is in very good condition too. The horns work and so does the annoying "key in the ignition" warning buzzer. Now the best part : I am starting the auction at an extremely reasonable opening bid of $500 and will sell it AS IS and unconditionally to the last highest bidder. Here's that rare chance to own a completely intact one owner car from new and with the pedigree to back it up. Terms of payment at conclusion of bidding are 25% deposit within 48 hours of bidding close and total balance due within 5 days of leaving deposit. That gives you one week to conclude the sale and make payment. eBay will contact us both at sale conclusion and I will also contact winning bidder to begin the paperwork to transfer ownership. My only acceptable method of payments are cash in US funds, direct wire transfer or certified funds drawn on a US chartered financial institution in the contiguous lower 48 states. It is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder to arrange for the transportation and shipping of the vehicle if needed. I don't get involved with transportation. Please have all your purchase funds available immediately before bidding and know what you can afford. I don't tolerate insincere people who bid with no intention to pay or not having the means to buy what they bid on. Finally if you have less than five positive feedback ratings, none at all or a history of bid retractions I reserve the right to cancel your bid. If deposit is not received within 48 hours of winning bid I reserve the right to contact the 2nd highest bidder and offer them the vehicle for their bid. Thank you for viewing my listing here for this unique vehicle and good luck to all bidders.
