Vehicle Detail
1984 Buick Regal Limited - Rebuilt 307 olds engine, Rebuilt TH200 Transmission, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Steering and Brakes. New Sony CD Player, and speakers. Recently repainted the original color black. Drivetrain and interior are from a low mileage 1987 Regal, the car originally came with the 3.8l V6. The car is completely stock 1987 Regal, including the front end, grill, and parking lights and headlights, ECM and wiring. The car has a custom built true dual flowmaster exhaust system. The cars suspension has been lowered with hotchkis suspension components, and has tubular a-arms in the front and tubular control arms in the rear, and a 1.25" front sway bar. All bushings/ball joints were replaced. The car has Grand national wheels and brand new tires...and handles and stops like a corvette! The brakes are new, all stock components are in the car down to the trunk mat, spare, jack etc...The engines runs perfect, all new accessories, belts, hoses, radiator, splugs, wires, distributor etc.. The car has all new weatherstripping. No rust anywhere what so ever on this car! Now the bad: Air conditioning components are all there and work, system needs to be leak tested and recharged. The cruise control does not work..not sure why. The headliner is coming down (very common with these cars). The body shell was a theft recovery when I bought it, so it now has a salvage title. The paint job is not perfect, but top quality basecoat/clearcoat urethane paints were used. There is an extremely small oil leak from the rear of the engine...minor enough I have never tried to track down. Selling as I recently bought a grand national. On Dec-09-12 at 06:50:21 PST, seller added the following information: Recently added original Grand National Air Dams (see pic), added pics of engine compartment and trunk. Note all factory hardware for an 1987 is there...all sound deadening, seals, spare tire, jack etc.. On Dec-10-12 at 16:56:12 PST, seller added the following information: Car is for sale locally Questions received: Do the doors sag or open rough? Answer: No...door hinges were rebuilt with new pins and bushings, doors open and close with a solid thunk Do the controls for the heat/cooling all work: Answer: All the HVAC controls work properly, new heater core installed with recent work. Do the head/tail/reverse/brake/parking lights work: Answer: Yes...all lights work properlyOn Dec-13-12 at 05:49:04 PST, seller added the following information: Reminder: You are bidding to buy...not test drive. Only 1 of the bidders have looked at the car. More Questions I have recieved Does the car track straight? Answer: Yes after the tubular a-arm and rear control arm suspension the car was fitted with 4 new tires and aligned to factory specs...car drives and stops perfectly straight Why in some pictures does the car have rasied white letter tires and some pictures blackwall tires are shown? Answer: I had the tire shop switch the tires to blackwalls out as I liked that look better, you can have the tires switched with raised white letter out if you choose. Does the car have a valid TX inspection and registration? Answer: Yes, the Car passed a TX inspection this year with zero issues, and is has both registration and inspection through next summer. Is the flowmaster exhaust loud? Answer: Personal choice here, but it does have a custom built true dual exhaust with 2 Chamber flowmasters, so while not obnoxious, it is louder than your typical car...it definitely has a muscle car sound to it. How much to recover a headliner in these cars? Answer: I had my 1987 Regal Grand National headliner recoverd for $115 at a local interior shop. Is the glass in good condition? Answer: Yes...all glass is in good condition, there are no cracks, all glass wetherstripping and trim are in place and secure. On Dec-13-12 at 17:30:03 PST, seller added the following information: What is the little gauge below the speedometer to the right of the steering column? Answer: I installed a little Sun Pro tachometer, the gauge works great and is lit when the lights are on and dims with the dimmer switch on the dash.On Dec-13-12 at 18:37:50 PST, seller added the following information: Are the bumper fillers original or aftermarket? Answer: The bumper fillers are new fiberglass aftermarket pieces. They fit extremelty well and have no cracks of weakspots.
