You are bidding on a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Supercab. Too bad these trucks are no longer available new from Ford....I've owned several, and they are real workhorses for their size. And room inside the cab for a compact truck is without equal. Anyone who has ever sat in a Toyota Tacoma or S10 Chevy knows what I'm talking about! Anyway, on with the details... I purchased this truck used in 2008. It had a lot of miles when I bought it (~135K), but was clean and well maintained. I wasn't going to drive it a lot anyway, so I wasn't afraid of the miles. It drove like it had half the miles, very solid. It's served me well over the years, replacing a 2004 Ranger I had that was totaled in a wreck. The truth is, I wouldn't be selling it if it wasn't for the fact I now a have a company provided truck, and just don't need the Ranger any more. I thought I might keep it around, but I got my company truck in June, and the Ranger has been sitting ever since. It's just too nice a truck to be sitting around, which is harder on a vehicle than driving it. So, it's time for someone else to enjoy it for a while. As you can see from the pictures, it's in pretty good shape for the miles. It's even better mechanically. This truck has always been used as a truck....the bed is scratched up and a little dented...nothing bad. No sissy truck for sure! I put a rubber mat in it, and a tool box, which go with the truck. Since I've owned it, I've put new General Grabber HT tires on it about 7K miles ago, new battery & alternator two years ago, and complete brakes a year ago, including new rotors & wheel bearings in the front. Honestly, it needs nothing mechanically. It runs great, uses absolutely no oil. I changed oil & filter every spring & fall, regardless of miles. This truck really has been well maintained. Cosmetically, I think it looks pretty good for the miles. It could certainly use a good bath & wax! There is no body rust, no chipped or broken glass, and just a few minor dents and scratches. The white hides that stuff pretty well! When it's all detailed, it really does still look pretty sharp. The worst part of it is probably the corrosion on the aluminum wheels....some of the clear coat is flaking off, with some corrosion underneath. A new set of wheels would really set it off, if someone is serious about it looking top shelf. This is a true no reserve auction. I'm in a position that I can sell the truck for whatever it brings, and be fine with it. I hope it truly helps someone else as much as it did me. At the conclusion of the auction, I would like to have $500 within 72 hrs of auction close, and the balance within one week.
