NEAT AND RARE BARN FIND PROJECT CAR!

GETCHA SOME FUZZY DICE TO HANG FROM THE REARVIEW MIRROR!

Here is a neat and rare project car that you won't see at every car show! It is a 1954 Buick Special Series 40 2 Door (some descriptions call it Riveria Hardtop it does not say Riveria anywhere on the car) Hardtop. It has the nailhead 264 cubic inch V8 with a factory 3 speed on the column. It cranks and runs fine, it is firing on all 8 cylinders and there is no obvious smoke. The carburator needs to be rebuilt though becasue the choke is not working. It shifts good but the clutch engages close to the top but is not slipping. It drives out good but the shocks are very weak. The turn signals work in both directions, the vacuum wipers work like they did back in the day and all the gauges appear to be working! There is no cracked glass with the exception of the right vent wing, but the windshield and all the other glass are delaminating with the exception of the rear windshield which is in good condition and I would think it would be the hardest and most expensive to find and replace so this is good. It has the original radio, it does hum when you turn it on so I assume it would be a fairly easy fix since it is a tube style radio! This old car is very complete but needs it all done. The body is very straight but there is some rust through on the bottom of the doors. All in all this should be a fairly easy project since you have all the chrome (it all needs re-chroming) and the car is an original intact car! The last owner had the car for 32 years in the Nashville, Tennessee area! I can just see this neat old car done in black with the chrome replated and a set of Coker Buick Wire Wheels with a set of Wide White Wall radials being driven to all the spring car shows! It is a great car to restore or to resto-mod with 50's style customization like tuck and roll leather interior and a different set of wheel covers or wheels! Have fun looking at the pictures and video we will point out the issues but remember you are looking at a near 60 year old car that is complete and largely intact!
