This is a very unusual 1965 Ford F100. This truck was previously owned by the Government. Originally started out as a 1965 Ford F100 Military Stepside Army Pickup. Somewhere down the road the Reading Tool boxes were installed. These boxes were made for this pickup and bolt in place on the truck bed fenders. The original Inline 6 Cylinder 240 CID engine was replaced by a 289 V8. The automatic transmission was replaced by a 4 Speed Manual Transmission. Whomever in the Government did this did this, did this very nicely and put a lot of work in to it. The transmission and the engine run like new. The pickup has 22,223 Miles on it odometer. It looks like to was parked inside most of its life. No rust at all and as you can see in the bed it has its original wood. When we got the truck we put on the new wheels and tires. The old tires were dry rot and the wheel were stock black rims. The truck was painted yellow by the Government. We just refreshed the paint and put linseed oil in the bed to protect the wood.
