Good things: 1987 C4 Corvette in overall good condition. Garage kept for most of her life. The body is excellent. The engine runs strong. (My son is an ASE Master Mechanic so maintenance was never an issue.) The transmission was rebuilt by Aamco at 157,000 miles. Good Tires and Brakes. I had the windshield replaced about 3 years ago. All in all, if you're looking to get into a vette, this is a fine car for the money. Not so good things: The interior is fair. The seats need covers or re-upholstering. They're still functional, just not beautiful. I can give you a link to an ebay seller who has seat covers I've used on other vettes and they fit and look great for about $179. The carpet is all in tact but could stand a dye job. There is a crack in the dashboard. Doesn't affect any function - just cosmetic. Again, I can direct you to a place that sells dash covers that look good and don't cost a lot. When I had the trans rebuilt the geniuses at Aamco lost the door key. If you buy the car at the buy it now price, I will have a locksmith make a new one from the VIN at my cost. If you win the auction at less than the buy it now price, you'll have to do it yourself. Or you can be like me and just never lock the car anyway. (Doesn't make much sense when you drive with the roof off most of the time.)
