Vehicle Detail

For auction is a 2000 Honda TRX450ES Fourtrax Foreman ES. This ATV was purchased new by an older gentleman 3/16/2000 who rode it around his pasture to check his cattle. He passed away in 2002 and his widow sold the ATV to me 11/6/2002. It was in almost showroom-new condition at the time with about 500 miles on it. The only scratch on it was on a decal and she even had purchased a replacement decal (which I still have)! I purchased it for use on my farm to check fences, go to the mailbox, etc. It's never been ridden hard, raced, or used for "mudding". For 8 years, I was only at the farm on weekends and having a second ATV also, the Honda was used very lightly. As a consequence, it now has only 1013 miles and 324 hrs. I'm selling it primarily because I just bought a UTV, still have the other ATV, and know the Honda will see little use! This Honda was always garaged and with so little use, is still in excellent condition. There are absolutely no dents, tears, rust, etc. and just shows light wear and light fading. There are light scratches on the left side panel and "4X4" decal as shown in the picture. The instrument bezel is perfectly clear and all the instruments and controls work perfectly. The only accessories I added was a padded seat for the rear rack that has three zippered storage compartments and a throttle extension lever. It starts easily, runs well, and the electric shift functions perfectly. This is truly an opportunity to purchase an ATV in near-new condition for a fraction of a new ATV's cost! I have every bit of the original purchase order paperwork, a replacement decal, and the owner's manual. When I purchased the ATV, the widow supplied the original title properly assigned to her deceased husband. She signed his name and her name ("John Doe by Jane Doe"). Since I was purchasing it for farm use and ATV's don't need license plates in Tennessee, I did not attempt to title it at the time - I laid the paperwork aside and forgot about it. Recently, when I went to title it in anticipation of selling it, my local DMV said I would have to have a copy of the document showing the widow was the deceased's estate administrator. I have made an attempt to locate her and get this document, but have been unsuccessful. Since the transaction was 10 years ago, she may well be deceased, also. Therefore, I can supply the original title signed by her, a copy of the cancelled checks proving payment for my transaction, and furnish a bill of sale. I strongly advise you to check your local laws - in many areas, a bill of sale will be sufficient. Many people who purchase ATV's for farm use or use on private property don't title them anyway as they usually have to pay sales tax when acquiring the title. You can easily check the VIN# at sites such as https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck for reassurance. This ATV is subject to local sale and early termination of the auction. The ATV is on my farm in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley approximately 15 miles south of Crossville, TN, near I-40, a little over an hour from Knoxville and Chattanooga and is available for local pickup. Don't hesitate to come inspect it if you have any doubts - it truly should be seen to be appreciated! Thanks for looking and good luck!
