I purchased this bike in 2000 with a little over 3000 miles and I’ve put on it an average of 2500 miles per year. 3 years ago, I had it serviced by Evolution Motorcycle in San Jose and Rob setup the suspension to work for my weight, 175 lbs . The difference was noticeable. The bike went from turning slow and no feedback, to turning as quickly as I could handle it and providing feedback about what was happening on the road. I’ve kept the bike very much stock throughout my ownership with a few exceptions: 17 inch Honda front wheelSteel-braided front brake linesErion HP Slip-onTarga Tail-seat cover (I have the original seat so you can swap it)Speedscreen Tinted WindscreenGalfer Sintered Front-brake pads The first three items were the biggest upgrades. Originally, all 900RRs came with 16 inch front wheels. This meant your choice of tires was limited. However, with the 17 inch front wheel, your choices are wide-open. Currently it has a new set of Dunlop qualifiers. They have about 90% of their life. Though the bike has 32K miles, it runs perfectly. I am selling it because I simply don’t use it any longer. I used to be able to ride it to work, and at least once a month through the canyons, but my life is such that I cannot do that either. The bike has a clean title and it’s a great collectors item. There are bikes which are faster than this one, but few have the heritage or stance of this bike. Please let me know if you have ANY questions.
