Vehicle Detail
No Reserve (5 day auction)Original 1970 Sportsroof, 302, 4spd car. Clear California title in my name. I bought this car a year ago and with other projects I'm not going to get around to finishing the body and addressing whatever else it needs. I was told the motorhas been gone through and it is well detailed, fires right up and drives well the short distances I've gone. I do not know if the motor is original. I did have a clutch professionally installed and the brakes looked afteras it wasn't shifting easily and I wanted good brakes to make it stop safely. The power steering has worked fine.I would describe this car as a project. The correct interior was installed and looks nice, but still needs some work, and the newer dash has a crack on the speaker line from sitting in the sun, my stupid fault. Interesting choice of steering wheels (not my choice, lol), looks like it belongs in a Porsche! The body is in primer but only to preserve it after being sanded down. It needs more work and there is filler, but the floor pans look clean. I think it was a California car, at least the last 25 years it has been here. A gentleman here drove it daily for all those years and when he was too old to drive it, his neighbor bought it and he was the one that started restoring it, but ran out of money. I bought it for 12k from him, so if you're thinking of offering it has to be somewhere around there.I cannot tell you more about the car than I have here, it was a project that I bought and I haven't spent a lotof time researching anything else. That is why this is a NO RESERVE auction for a PROJECT CAR.Please do not expect anything else and if you don't inspect it yourself and cannot ascertain how muchwork it might be for you, so I would not advise bidding on it. I will be available for inspection Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Gone Thursday and Friday. I will be happy to help make the car accessible for your transport company, keep in mind the car cannot stay here for more than two weeks as I am building a new warehouse where the car is kept.$1000 Non-Refundable deposit will be due within 24 hours of auctions end, through Paypal, no exceptions. I will relist it immediately after the 24 hours, I need this car gone and don't want to monkey around with buyers that can't followthrough. Sorry to be tough but that is what I see happening on so many auctions that have to be relisted. Balance is due by 11/27/12, relist if not received and $1000 deposit non-refundable.Thank you. (The Magnum 500 wheels do not go with the car, it has Weld Wheels, alloy star-type rims with good tires on them. I'll try to get a photo of them, but most of you know what they look like.) On Nov-19-12 at 10:48:24 PST, seller added the following information: Hi, someone asked about underneath the car, torque boxes, and frame rails..I took some photos and you can see the bottom is straight and clean. It's not beaten up either. The car seems to have been medium blue and previously (original I think) poly gold (?).
