We welcome and Encourage inspections during the listing time frame. 1936 Cord 810 Convertible Phaeton Sedan Chassis No. 2471H | Engine No. FB1898 Finished in Cigarette Cream paintwork over brown leather upholstery, this Cord 810 Phaeton directs a lot of attention. The Convertible Phaeton Sedan is the more accommodating of the two open 810s, with a back seat for three, as well as a fully concealed convertible top. This particular car displays an older restoration, but still shows nicely overall and makes for a great parade car and touring “driver”. · A very Distinguishing & Innovative Automobile of the 1930’s Inside, the turned dashboard is nicely detailed with Deco stylized instruments and trimmings. The gauges, lights and the car’s hand-crank headlights work as they should and operate smoothly. Proper cotton braided wiring was used throughout the 810 during the restoration. Brown and tan woven carpet matches the lining in the trunk, along with a body color matched spare tire. The leather is soft with no rips or tears. A full black soft top covers the cabin with framed glass all-around for weather protection. The car still retains its original ID tags and all fenders on are steel. We have pictured the notable paint flaws, and crack in the rear glass. · Well-Suited for Tours & Events This 810 is powered by its original V8 Lycoming engine, mated to the factory four-speed electrically-shifted pre-selector transmission and front wheel drive system derived from the earlier L-29. The engine and undercarriage are clean, solid and nicely detailed, and the motor and drive train remain in good working order. · Excellent Driver Quality Example - Preserved & Complete The Cord 810/812 remains one of the most significant automobiles in the accounts of design. The example offered here seems ideally suited to enjoy as intended and a great opportunity to acquire a rare and unique cultural icon of the 1930’s.
