Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1950 IH Truck. Model L110. This Truck was titled a 1952. I was told this was done when the Vehicle was sold not the year it was made.??? Not sure if this is true. The Truck has hidden Door Hinges and 1950 was the only year that IH made the Hidden Hinges. (this is a + because it is more rare. I had intentions to restore this Truck but my Wife was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and had a 10 1/2 Hour surgery in May and now she is going thru Chemo. and Radiation and I am spending all of my time with her. Since I do not have the time or money to finish this I am reluctantly selling it. I installed the BG241 Engine and 3 speed Transmission because the original Engine was shot. I bought this from a Lady that had a farm about 4 miles from me because her husband died 2 years ago and it was stored in the Barn since 1969. I changed the wiring to 12 Volt. It has all new Brake Pads. 1 New Wheel Cylinder, A new all Aluminum Radiator. It has the Original Radio (not hooked up). It has working Headlights, Horn, Tail lights, Turn Signals, Tail Light and Back up Lights. The 1 Back Window is cracked. The Door Windows wind up and down as they should. The Seat is pretty ragged and needs repaired. I have only driven this about 39 miles since I installed the Engine so I do not know how this Truck will hold up to everyday driving. It starts right up as it should and changes gears smoothly. It does have a noise in the Trans. when moving in 1 st. Gear but after shifting into 2nd. the noise goes away. I think it is the way the Rear is Geared. This Truck is not perfect but it should not need anything for a Pa. Inspection. The Frame is in very nice condition with no Rust thru. The Cab & Fenders have some body filler but nothing bad. The Bed is in very nice condition and the Floor of the Bed has no Rust thru. The Floor of the Cab is Rust free. There are not too many of these 1950's around so this will definitely be a Head Turner anyplace you go. This Truck is being sold as is "without Warranty" only because it is used. This Truck is like any other Vehicle, it will need Maintenance from time to time so do not expect a new Truck. The Buyer might think it needs something now that I might have overlooked. After seeing this Truck and hearing it run I believe the Potential Buyer will agree it is worth the asking price, but then again everyone has a different opinion about something. I hope I did not overlook anything. If you have any questions you can call me at 1-717-586-1989 to make an appointment. My time is limited so keep this in mind. Because of scammer's I do not answer emails or Text's on my Phone so please do not waste your time or mind. thanks for your understanding. Please keep in mind that this is not a new truck and that it is 60 years old so expect mechanical failure and spending some money to have it looking good and running to your expectations. wayne.
