Vehicle Detail

This is a barn find project that has been sitting for 25 years. It was a one owner California blue plate vehicle until I purchased it Vehicle will need significant mechanical and body work to drive again. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. While this is a project it is rare to find a stock unmolested with most of the original parts. Vehicle will be sold with a signed Bill of Sale and signed application of California title transfer for lost title. I checked with the California DMV and the vehicle is NOT in the system. Sold AS-IS WHERE IS. I might be able to deliver anywhere in California for agreed prepaid price. 1973 Mustang mach 1 Q code 351 Cleveland 4V, C6 A/T, P/S, P/D/Brakes A/C car, Fold down rear seat. Has factory space saver tire and inflation canister. The odometer reads just a little over 100,000 original miles. Ford Factory Am-Fm 8 track stereo. Factory speakers in front door panels. Car was delivered to the San Jose DSO (72) and has always been in Northern California. Decoded vin as follows 3F05Q158XXX 63R AA 5A 12M 9 U L 72 3-1973 F-Assembled in Dearborn Michigan, 05 63R 2 dr sports roof Mach 1, Q engine code 351 4V Cleveland, AA Black vinyl, 5A pewter metallic paint 12M 9 built Dec 9th, U C-6 automatic, L 2:79:1 locking differential, 72 DSO San Jose, California Years ago the car was in a light front end accident. The owner parked the car, took off the front clip and started to tear down the engine. For some unknown reason the bare engine block was scrapped along with the drive shaft. (bad move). I have the original, pistons, crank and 4 bolt main caps, cam, rockers, pulleys, heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, carb, flywheel, air cleaner assembly and other OEM parts. I have the fenders, bent NASA hood, replacement core support, endura front bumper, rear chrome bumper, motor mounts, original C6 trans. The interior is complete. The floor and trunk are solid and clean. No rust in the drop offs. All the seats are present. The fold down seat is there and operates. All the glass is Carlite Ford and in good condition. The body has is share of bumps and bruises but nothing serious. Corporate hubcaps and trim rings. No obvious bondo. The car rolls and steers. No brakes. No emergency brake. The passenger door is stuck shut. The headliner is all there and in good shape. It has the original owners manual and protect-o-plate and some cool travel literature of that era from the Ford dealer. 1-key to ignition, 1-for trunk. This would make a good candidate for restoration (or Eleanor clone from the 1973 movie) considering it is almost all original and only missing the original engine block, drive shaft and some exterior trim pieces. (grille) The body and floors and trunk are pretty much rust free which is always better to start with rather than spend money replacing floors or body panels. I require a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit at auction close paid via paypal. Balance within 7 business days in cash or bank check which will have to clear before I release the car. The car can be stored here for a reasonable amount of time after it is paid for in full. The car can be inspected at my home in Brentwood Nor-Cal 94513. Questions? 408-893-2543 PST
