Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1997 porsche boxster. I bought this car less than a year ago with the idea of fixing it up and enjoying it for years but unfortunately my time and finances have other ideas. So for many of us out there my loss is your gain. I will do my best to describe the car to you the best i can. It has abit over 73k miles on it with the automatic trans with the triptronic paddle shifter on the steering wheel. the interior is in very decent shape for the year and so is the body. normal wear and tear but nothing terribly bad to speak of at all. All options work well windows go up and down heat works great a/c blows nice and cold . Top is in pretty good shape normal wear but no tears. ok here goes with the best i know what the car needs . motor starts right up and seems to run fine ive driven it very little but it doesnt smoke or make any strange noises. it does have a engine light on it says its a o2 sensor code so ive changed the two it says it was and also changed the mass air sensor but code still shows. so to be honest dont know whats going on. im not much of a mechanic and cant really waste money on a porsche dealer at the moment. also trans shifts fine but it seems to have a hard shift between 2nd and 3rd . I did take it to a porsche mechanic to check it out when i first got the car and he told me it was a pretty recent rebuild trans and was probably the clutches between 2nd and 3rd were too tight and had to wear in and just keep driving it. I'm just trying to be as honest as possible with any bidders but not being a mechanic i have no idea if this is true or not. also when i bought it. there were all the linkage missing from the convertible top in the back. the transmission were there and the cables and all work fine. and i have bought all the linkage parts it needs to reassemble. just dont have the money or know how to complete it. also have a few other new parts to go with the car. so all in all its a good car with very good mileage just needs a little TLC and a new home with a decent mechanic to get this car back to its former glory. I have set the reserve kinda low for this car with a very realistic number to move it on to a new home. so if you have any questions feel free to email or text with any questions. 708 743 6100 so thanks and good luck and God bless America OK I am relisting it now dues to a loser who won the auction with no money. PLease please dont bed on the car if you dont intend on buying it or if you have no idea how your going to pay. thanks
