Selling a wonderful and very desireable 1983 Mercedes W 123 with a 240 D trim. The Car is completely European Spec ( bumpers & headlights ) and the router shell is in a mint condition considering his age of almost 30 years.This car is absolutely free of rust or dents, it received a complete repaint in its original color two years ago. Mechanically the car is absolute sound as I use it as a daily driver. It stars up immediately and purrs like a new one after a short warm-up phase. With the actual milage of 103900 this engine can be called "barely broken in". This is an 1983 W 123 not as in the title an 1980!! The 4-speed transmission is very desirable especially in this combination with the European Specs. The speedometer has been changed to an US version with miles and kilometers. Everything has been documented in pictures, the original Euro speedometer comes with the car. The Mercer got regularly serviced only with Shell Rotella T 15-40 and RAM Oilfilters. Brakes are very strong and the clutch is working fine.The A/C needs a refill and sealing cause its loosing its pressure after a while, but who wouldn't do after nearly 30 years. I replaced all four glow plugs 2 months ago. The interior shows some tear and wear. Passenger seat and backseat are completely OK in good condition, while the driver seat has two holes and a broken spring inside. Some cracks have started in the dash pad. The cloth insert of the doors are clean and not coming loose.The rubber seals around the doors need to be replaced in near future cause they dried out here in Texas. I managed to get original covers for the manual window lifters in Germany, however one lifter is a different model from a later W123. Last itme I was in Germany I additionally managed to get an OEM Clutch replacement kit (LUK) and 2 rear shocks just in case these things need to be replaced in the future. these parts are hard to get in the US and pretty expensive. I'll include everything to the buyer. The paint is glossy throughout with no rust at all. The engine is nice and clean without any leaks!! The system did not let me enter the VIN No cause it might be from Germany. The car has a clear Texas title, VIN WDB12312310391531 This car has been delivered by our local Mercedes dealer in 1983 and spend it's entire life in the dry Texan weather.
