You could drive this car across the country today. The 1970 Skylark Convertibles are getting harder to find. This car has had the same owner for almost 26 years. Full frame off restoration done approximately 15 years ago. Loaded with a super dependable late model 5.3 Ltr GM engine Resto-Mod, Newer 3 speed manual transmission, Bench seats, Power convertible top, Power steering, Power brakes, Brand new Cooper tires mounted on American Racing wheels, No Convertible top boot. Overall the car shows very nice. Mechanically the car drives nicer than most classic cars. The engine and transmission perform flawlessly . The car starts with one press of the gas. It drives straight and tight down the road-All bushings where replaced. Heat works nice.The paint is nice but is showing its age-chips etc. The chrome has some pitting and could use re chroming to take to another level and the drivers side rear tail light has crack. The interior has entirely been replaced as was the Convertible top. The seats and carpet are in excellent shape both front and rear. Dash has no cracks and door panels are nice. The convertible top and rear window are in excellent condition with no tears etc and it operates quickly as it should. The undercarriage is solid as well as the trunk (trunk has had previous metal patch welds).The car is a pleasure to drive and turns heads everywhere!
