Vehicle Detail

1972 Chevy C10 Pickup (Last of the Body Style, plus power steering and front disk brakes). Gets lots of looks and conversations going. 8 ft bed, Bench Seat, Power Steering and Brakes (Front Disc), 120amp Chrome Alternator, Halogen Headlight upgrade, All around LED Light upgrades, All Synthetic Fluids, New Air Filter, and many other upgrades. 350 V8 (73+), & Turbo 350 AT, Very Smooth Interstate Runner. Cruises at 55, 65, and 75-85mph easily. On 31's right now but seems to like smaller tires better (and looks more like a street truck). Starts everytime. Great Running, Working Project Truck. Will need some TLC. Has some Common C10 slight Body issues. I purchased in Kentucky and drove it home 10+ hours when I bought it. Says 31,485 miles but no real way to make sure. I'm sure it 131,485 (Was purchased from a family that owned a mechanics shop in KY) Gets lots of looks and conversations going. Kinda testing the water now, but if it sells it sells. If not I will fix and possibly try again later (maybe, Its always nice to have a Pickup around especially an Antique(taxes)). Just too many Projects. Last Project in First one out (Another reason is I'm switching out half of my projects for 10-20 yr old Toyotas). Also I'm considering going more towards a 4x4 Pickup. will probably change once I fix the things that are bothering me (Disclosure List) but that will take time and money, and I travel alot also and that probably my this truck has just been sitting and not getting made the way I was looking forward too. Full disclosure now. Truck was recently on a tow truck (Flat tire) and operator knocked loose header, slight exhaust leak (either header needs tightening or new gasket) and knocked off and crushed a custom exhaust tip (1 of 2) so that exhaust tip could be replaced but you would need two to match. Transmission has slow leak (New Chrome Pan just went in and may not have been put in right but could also be coming from somewhere else). A local shop, Gene's transmission shop looked at it before and quoted $400 to take it down and reseal the whole Trans, but I had to many projects and just didn't get around to it. Bed has common rust issues and needs new floor but is strong. I personally just have 2x10 wooden planks in the bed for sliding cargo in, but was planning on replacing with new Diamond-Plate or Smooth metal Bed and then I was going to Bedliner it which you can still do if you chose. Rust is present around the windshield on the inside of the cab and was discovered after removing some extra RTV on the driver's side. Slight Body work or replacement may be needed on Drivers side Cab Corner, removing tonneau cover snaps on bed, tailgate works fine but I was considering replacing it due to paint chips, new water pump installed just because of flush (new water pump may have needed a coat of paint ). Headlights are working but might be my battery ground and didn't work one day (probably a ground) also one headlight bulb might need to be replaced, also a friend gave me some headlight rings and they may have needed a clear coat because they rusted a little. Interior looks great, I say it needs a seat cover due to a friend slightly ripping drivers side while he was supposed to be taking care of it and getting some work done. Aftermarket Stereo needs tweaking or replacement, is there but I never used it. Paint could use some work or some buffing, I would suggest repainting (has some paint chipping), but that just me and my plans. Call it an Okay Looking Truck from 10-20ft. Lastly just before I was going to sell it last week while I was out of town the Master Cylinder went bad and was replaced at the shop (bench bled but they say after some driving might need to rebleed the system(I never really drive it)). Lastly this is truly a great project truck because you can buy every piece from a LMC catalog. Also Passenger side Door handle and window crank are not put back on at the moment. remember it is a 40yr old running project truck. Recently was for Sale and View Locally, and I guess people disconnected a couple wires. One was the horn inside and Ground cable from the battery was the other. I took it down since it wouldn't start and didn't want to misrepresent the truck in an ad. But does and always has started fine, unless someone disconnects something I guess. Also from local people I was told I should say that the Air Cleaner top has light surface rust and Signal (Blinkers) piece might need to be replace but does work (just has to be pulled towards you then up or down). Also I found out when I was doing a radiator flush and replacing the Water Pump that the engine is not a 72 and is a 73+. I personally drove it and would drive it (even with its leak and a funnel) some far distance although I'm not sure about cross country. But I also am a major planner and have done it with many prior unseen 30 yr+ cars and trucks on ebay before and still own most of them. I bought this one to keep but realize I really will need a 4wd one. So if your not a planner with AAA and plan A, B, & C, you should probably plan for towing or transportation if you have quite a distance. Also I just found the Video of it in Kentucky when I bought it that sold me on it. Has had a few upgrades since and is minus an exhaust tip. But can't attach the link so if you search Youtube.com for " 1972 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe / C10 Pickup " you will find it (Video length 1:13) Please read everything and if you are a Bidder with less than 10 reviews you must email first. Thanks for Looking. This is also for sale by owner locally at the moment and ebay auction can be cancelled without notice if sold locally.
