Up For Sale is My 1968 Chevelle SS396 (138) That was a Frame Off/Rotisserie Restoration in 2003.This Car Retains its Original Sheetmetal With No Patched in Metal or Sheetmetal Pan Replacement. The Original Color was Grecian Green, now is a 1995 Cadillac Beige/Blk Metallic. The Color Resembles The 1968 color Ash Gold. Paint is Base Coat/Clear Coat Which was Sanded, Buffed and Cleared Again for a Smooth Deep Finish. This Car has its Proper Stripes, Chrome and Stainless Moldings(that are missing on alot of these cars or too expensive to replace) That were Buffed to Shine Brightly, Which were Factory Correct for the 1968 SS Model. The Car was Originally Equipped With AC,But Removed During its Restoration. Only Thing The Car Needs is A Heater Core. It started to Leak, so The Hoses were Disconnected. Was Going to be My Winter Project, And Still May be, if I Do Not Sell! The Frame was Media Blasted, and Powder Coated. The Suspension was Then Gone Through With Everything Replaced New, Right Down to The Bushings and Grommets. The Engine is a 402 CU.IN.BigBlock,Has Keith Blk Domed Pistons With Compression @ 10½: 1.Heads were Ported/Polished. Has a Comp. Cam 480 Lift With 238 Duration and High Volume Oil Pump. Sitting on Top of all That is a Edelbrock Performer Manifold, With a Holley 750 CFM Double Pumper.The Motor is Tite,Runs Strong and Has Less Than 3500 mi. It Exhales Thru HOOKER Competition Ceramic Headers Which Connect to 2 ½” Exhaust with “H” Equalization Pipe, and out to a Pair of Flowmaster Mufflers. Rated at Over 400 HP. The Transmission is a 700R-4 Speed, It Shifts Flawlessly and Makes This Car a Real Pleasure to Drive at any Speed. 80MPH @ appx.2600RPM’S. The Car Has Power Steering,With Front SSBC Disc Brakes, The Rear Are Drum, 12 Bolt Posi With 456 Gears, and Boxed Control Arms, Has Front and Rear Sway Bars to Keep The Power to The street. The Interior is Also New. Seats, Carpet,Headliner,Dash and Pad are Perfect. Everything Works as it Should in this Car. All The Glass is Excellent and Windows/Wing Windows Roll up, Open and Close as They Should. All Seals, Felts and Weather Stripping all Replaced. Everything Has Been Gone Through. I’snt That What you do in a TOTAL,FULL RESTORATION? Has a 200 WATT Sony Stereo AM/FM/CD That sounds Excellent. It Took More Than 60k,and many Countless Hours to Restore This Car to this Level, What Really Shines is the Undercarriage of This Car, You Can see All the Pinch/Spot Welds, and is one of The Most Clean Detailed Areas You will See.
