1986 Volkswagen Vanagon GL 2.1 liter Gasoline Engine, Automatic Transmission, Blue Interior. I have had this van since 2008 and I have always taken good care of it. I am not a smoker and I never let anyone smoke inside this van. I have replaced the following parts within the last three years or so. 1. New head gaskets and seals. (02/2009) 2. New water pump.(02/2010) 3. New starter motor.(07/2011) 4. New radiator.(02/2009) 5. Engine cooling flushed and filled with OEM original Blue Phosphate Free antifreeze. 6. New oil pump. (10/2009) 7. New thermostat. (02/2009) 8. New battery (9/2012) 9. New 215/75/15 2 Ply tires 10. New distributor cap, rotor, and NGK spark plugs (10/2012) 11. New air filter.(10/2012) 12. New inner CV joint boots. (10/2012) 13. New coolant expansion tank with new low coolant level sensor. 14. New rubber steering coupling. 15. New front windshield and new front windshield gasket. (02/2012) 16. New windshield washer fluid pump. 17. New brake pads and shoes. (07/2012) 18. New brake cylinders. (04/2012) 19. Transmission filter, gasket, and fluid change. (10/2010) 20. New speedometer cable. 21. New (rebuilt) rack and pinion (2010) 22. New side mirrors. (06/2012) 23. New coolant temperature sensor. (02/2009) 24. Last oil and filter change(09/2012) 25. New A/C expansion valve. 26. New outer tie rod ends. (2010) 27. New engine mounts (2010) 28. New muffler (2010) Other items and accessories: 1. Wheels upgraded to 15 inch aluminum. 2. Tinted windows. 3. Roof rack with new heavy duty cross bars. 4. New CD player with AM/FM Radio with remote and upgraded speakers. 5. Air intake snorkel from 1987 Vanagon GL. This van features original front floor mats in good shape. Door panels are in very good conditions as well as the seats. The van runs good, never overheats, and the rear bench seat folds down into a comfortable queen size bed. The larger tires and wheels give the van more clearance. Air conditioning does not blow cold but everything is there. The van needs the following replaced or fixed: Gas tank snout O-ring. I already have the part and it needs to be replaced because it would leak gas if the tank is topped off. There is some rust on one very small spot under the windshield gasket and the other usual areas.(See pictures) Paint looks nice but it needs some touch-ups. Some small dents on sliding door. Passenger area carpet shows discoloration. Vinyl on passenger area panels need re-gluing. Rear plastic AC piece has cracks. Please feel free to ask any questions. I live in the Florida Keys and that is where the van stays during weekdays, however, I take the Van to the Kendall area in Miami almost every other weekend.
