Nice classic MK2 8V GTI with a clear Texas title and some nice aftermarket mods such as badgeless grill with round headlights, front and rear adjustable coil overs and cross drilled rotors, Antera 17 inch wheels, cool gauges in the center with working temp and voltage meters, an aftermarket air filter, adjustable camshaft sprocket, and it also appears to have aftermarket cams as well, because of it's particular idle and it runs awesome (don't know the lift or duration of the cams), it has an aftermarket muffler that has a nice and deep sound. It has aftermarket head light bulbs and both fog lights work but the passenger's side one is cracked, no water or oil leaks, no overheating or smoking, no funny engine noises, the previous owner told me the engine was overhauled about a year ago and it shows but I have no paper work to prove it. All lights work with the exception of the driver's side front bumper marker (needs bulb, will replace it this week), brakes are good and so is the clutch. All modifications were installed by its previous owner except for the aftermarket tach mounted on top of the dash and the Momo steering wheel which I both installed and will not go with the car, the factory tachometer works properly and I will be installing back the nice old school sirocco steering wheel that it originally had (see last picture). The interior is very clean but the back of the front passenger's seat has a good size tear, no cracks on dash and all trim is there. The very few issues with the car are as follows: The paint is kind of faded on the top of the car and its hood due to sun damage, a couple of small door dings here and there, there are a couple of dents on the body, one at the upper portion of the passenger's door and one at the rear hatch. When shifting into second gear, it has a slight grind when shifting at higher rpm, won't grind if you pump the clutch pedal twice before shifting into the second gear or if it's shifted at lower rpms (I would say shifting under 2,500 rpm's) but the grind is really not that loud and there are no other issues with the other gears. There's some rust around the front windshield (as seen in the pictures) but I have not had any water get inside the car when I have washed the car, there's also a couple of small rust areas at the lower portion of both rear side windows, and above right rear window at the roof area, no where nearly as bad as the front windshield areas but I do want to mention these areas, the windshield is also cracked. Please look at the pictures closely to determine for your own self the condition of the body, I believe this car spent some time in Missouri by looking at the owner's manuals in the glove box. The rest of the car is solid other than these mentioned areas. The plates and inspection stickers are both expired. Overall this is a solid car with some minor cosmetic issues that are fixable and I believe it's priced at a very reasonable amount considering its sound mechanical condition and nice already installed aftermarket parts. I strongly believe this car in its current condition should make it anywhere you want to drive it but keep in mind that both state inspection and tags are expired, this is a 20 year old car in good overall condition but it is being sold as is.
