2002 Rav4, 2.0L, 4 cyl., AWD, black with tan cloth interior. VERY clean car, only 86K miles, but it has engine problems. This car is perfect for the mechanic who wants to fix it up and resell it. Tires are Bridgestone Dueler HT. Interior is cloth, in great shape. Body had no dings, dents or rust. Cloth seats are in great condition, no stains or tears. Dash has no cracks. The only problem is the engine. I bought this car in November, 2011 for almost $9000 and ran it for a couple months before I had engine problems. I am only the second owner. I've had two mechanics look at it and they both say the same thing - the engine needs to be rebuilt (or pulled and replaced), likley on the lower end. The head and pistons are good, with good compression, but there is some kind of issue with the crankshaft or bearings. This car is perfect for the mechanic who can pull the engine, spend a couple days on it and put it back together. Unfortunately, that's not me. I'm at a bad spot where I can't afford to fix it and I can't afford to keep it. But my loss will be your gain. If you want this car for parts, it's a goldmine. But if you can spend two days on it, you can make some money on it, or have a great car to drive for a long time.
