We are putting our 99 Honda Accord EX up for auction. This has been a great car and I was intending on keeping this after we paid it off because of the low miles but we have a few other things that have come up and I really dont have the time to put into this car that it needs. This car has been a daily driver and is great on gas. The major issue with this car is that sometimes when you drive it seems like it DOES NOT SHIFT SMOOTHLY(coming out of low gear). The check engine light will sometimes flash on and then it goes off again. I have had this checked with a code reader and the code came back "incorrect gear ratio". This car has been doing this for a long time. I have had some people say that it needs a new transmission filter or a new transmission or that it could be a problem with the computer not relaying to the transmission to shift. No one has ever seriously looked at this thing or taken it apart so all I know is what the code says and how it drives. As for the rest of the car all the power windows and locks work. Sunroof works. The 2 seats in the front are in ROUGH SHAPE so I have covers on them. The backseat is alright. The 2 knobs on the a/c dial come off(I still have them and they still work,they just come off) The front windsheild has a crack in it. Also a while back my battery died and after I got it started again my radio/cd has been locked with anti-theft code. I called the honda dealership and they said they would unlock the code for me and that it would be $106.00. I have not had this done because its really not that big of an issue for me. The outside of the cars has dents and dings and wear for the age. This car is not in perfect shape and seriously needs whatever the issue with the transmission is to be resolved. Other than that this car has a lot of life left on it and I know this ad is long but I wanted to list all the issues with car. I'll be putting alot more photos of the car up tommorow. this is a no reserve auction and I will let it go to the highst paying bidder and I would like payment in full within 72 hours with cash or bank check. On Oct-20-12 at 05:39:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I am updating this because I was driving the car day before yesterday and the control module for the a/c and heat went out. I had it looked at and its getting current so Ive called around and have found some used for $70 and up. I had it bypassed so that the air conditiong will still work. The dial that control the fan speed still works though.
