1948 Ford F1 half ton short box. This truck came from northwest Iowa and was a two owner truck. The first owner was a utility company that sold it to a employee that used the truck while working there. When he retired he bought the truck for his personal use and used it as a daily driver until 2003. It was parked in his garage and when he passed away, his son inherited this truck and had it Currently registered this year to sell it and sold it to me . I brought the truck home to northeast Iowa and put new radiator and heater hoses on it. I put oil in the cylinders to make sure they were freed up (smokes a little now but will go away). I put a 6 volt pressure fuel regulator, new plugs, a 6 volt starter celynoid, ignition switch, starter push button, and ignition coil. I put a complete new exhaust system on. The truck purrs like a kitten. The carb was rebuilt. i was told the previous owner had the engine rebuilt less than ten thousdand miles ago. This truck has the fun to drive and RARE three speed on the floor. The master cylinder and brake lines should be replaced or rebuilt. I drove the truck up to 55 mph. The clutch worked the way it should and all three gears and reverse shifted great. There was no play in the steering. This is a original paint truck that has lots of patina and could be left the way it is and used as a daily driver or brought back to show condition. Other than the brakes, in my opinion, this truck could be Driven Right away. It has the original weights I have left in the box and the original road flails on the side of the box. It's is a rare find in that it is a half ton short box that is not molested and has a great history. I took 50 plus pics as well as a HD video to show the condition of this truck, I do not want to over all or under all it, let the video and pics tell the story. I am selling this truck along with three others out of my collection as I do not have the indoor storage space and winter is approaching. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the required time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.
