This a real old school truck that could easily be turned into a gasser truck (that was my plan). It has a 1961 289 Studebaker v8 with a 1956 Studebaker T85 3 spd w R11 overdrive which I have read is the best one they made with a old hurst shifter , the headers appear to be well made fender well. The radiator and the alternator are chrysler and are good, it appears to have old guages of unknown origin. The truck has been converted to 12 volt to go with the drive train. The engine runs very well with good oil pressure, no noises, no smoke, and is clean inside. The trans goes thru all gears and the clutch seems to work fine, I cannot verify the O/D operation as I cannot drive it because the rearend ( 10 bolt chevy) has decided to let go some time in the past. The truck came from Yuba City Ca (last registered in 1989) so the rust is not bad , there are just a few spot of rust through (see pics). The body needs work, but I was going to leave it the way I got it for the look. The paint is old and other colors are coming through. The tires and wheels that are on it are just rollers (no good for street). Currently there is no gas tank in it, there is a good chevy truck tank that comes with it, I also have a good 1950 ford car rear 3.73 with new brakes and seals that i will let go with the truck. The things I know it needs to run! FUEL TANK,BRAKES, REAR END,BATTERY,WATER PUMP (I ran it with the old one but the bearings where getting dangerously loose so I took it off). Buyer is responsible for pickup or delivery. IT IS A OLD SCHOOL TRUCK SO THERE IS NO WARRANTY PERIOD
