Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1971 cutlass S project here are the details car has been off the road since 1999 and is considered a project IE needs work before driving it. engine 350 rocket engine #7 heads crane h-292-2 cam 234 duration and .504 lift 2800-6400 powerband 3000 stahl converter turbo 350 trans hooker super comp full length headers edelbrock performer rpm intake msd wires hei distributor edelbrock electric choke carburetor (choke not hooked up currently) edelbrock chrome valve covers engine does run and does not knock does run a little rich may need a tune up or carb adjusted. engine was rebuilt in 1997 and then the car was parked in 1999 so mileage on the rebuild is unknown but most likely around 15,000-20,000 on rebuild. will start but usually needs gas line reprimed after sitting a day or two perhaps weak fuel pump? or a filter starting to plug? not sure. the battery is pretty much toast will charge up to start the car but i do think the alternator may be weak or it could just be the battery as well. TRANSMISSION: turbo 350 trans automatic. I have never driven the car besides on and off a trailer and in or out of my garage but does go into all gears and did shift fine back in the pre 1999 era. BRAKES: new rotors, pads, shoes and drums. yes this car is a power disc brake car and the brakes work fine Suspension: new front and rear shocks havent checked out anything else yet. BODY: frame is good rockers are good quarters appear to be good both have matching small dents and rust spots from when the rear bumper hit it on the top corners years ago in a very light accident ( backing into a pole in a parking lot) doors need reskinned or replaced, fender bottoms on both sides needs replaced. trunk lid has a small ammount of surface rust and does have the hoes for a 442 rear spoiler which yes it used to have on it but no longer exists. hood is a 442 louved hood which is solid but does have a small dent on the side. there are no grilles for the front. main floors appear to be fine. trunk floor will either need to be replaced or patched depending on what kind of a car you want to make of it either will do. car does have a sunroof that does leak. interior is all there minus the side panels in the back seat area. its a bench seat car with column shift non tilt. the dash pad is good with no cracks. the radio opening was cut (yes we were teenagers in the 90's whoops) the interior needs to be restored there is no carpet and the upper back seat is white rather than blue like the front seat or lower back seat. but a frame to have new upholstery is better than no frame right?!! the car does come with a few extra parts which are in the trunk. the car has 3 rally wheels 2 are on the car 1 is in the trunk. 1 wheel on the car has a very dry rotted tire that only holds air for about 1/2 an hour but good enough to get on a trailer. I do have the car for sale locally and do reserve the right to end auction at any given time. I am selling with a low reserve and no buy it now price. please if there are any questions please ask before bidding. I have tried to answer all details about the car that i am aware of but again i am selling this car as a project car and not a show car.
