We have a lot of time, effort and money into listing this motorcycle on ebay. Please be respectful of that and be certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, please e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will gladly add you to the list that allows you to bid. If you're looking for a /2 as a rider we've got a great one here for you. She's had a recent minor service, she starts easily and she runs great. She truly is a one kick bike. This bike was mechanically rehabbed by a good customer of ours about 10 years ago. His goal was to build a rider. As such, she's not perfect but she's certainly great. The rehab on this bike consisted of a full engine overhaul, this included slinger service, freshly bored cylinders, first over bore pistons, and reconditioning of the heads with new valves, unleaded seats, the whole goshdarnit. If you know these bikes, you know that work alone is $3,000+ depending on who does it and how they do it. The wheels were also relaced/freshened, and she got a new seat. The frame is in what looks like original paint and definitely shows its age. The bodywork was painted at some point. It looks good from a distance but has its share of imperfections. Some of it looks like it was applied with a brush and then polished as you can still see the brush strokes. And there is some touch up work. This is a bike that was built as a rider, with a rock solid drivetrain, good cosmetics, and she's in a great state of tune. The mufflers are not original, but they are in nice shape. The patina of the bike is nice, the aluminum engine cases havent been polished, they are nice original aluminum. The footpeg rubbers are newer and in nice shape. The Hella bar end signals work, and the Albert mirrors are a nice touch. The original petcock has been replaced with an updated model. There are many minor blemishes on her, more than I have the time or inclination to describe here, the pics are plentiful and high quality. Please inspect them for that detail, and please ask any questions that you may have. The engine and frame numbers do not match. The bike is titled by the engine number. There are 98 pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 312-878-8711, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact us through ebay. Here is a link to a video of a cold start and brief review of the bike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTwIL-aw6BEv The bike is located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 312-878-8711 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Our recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We'll deliver, uncrated, to a local shipper for $150 extra. We'll deliver within 100 miles of Chicago for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact us first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that. We are a dealer, so we must charge sales tax and process the title and plate if you are an Illinois buyer. If you are a buyer from one of the states that reciprocates with Illinois on sales tax, we must collect sales tax based on the vehicle rate for your state. As a dealer, we also have a $100 documentation fee. We can offer financing with competitive rates on your purchase. Please contact us prior to bidding so we can get you approved and figure the terms of the loan.
