1966 VW Squareback in Porsche Orange <><><> 1966 Volkswagen Squareback <><><> <><> Please contact Milan at 214-681-2319 with any questions <><> <><>Calls will get answered faster than messaging me, and more questions can be asked <><> <><><><><><><><> This is one clean daily driver which gets lots of attention, smiles and plenty of questions everywhere it goes. The car runs and drives very well. I've driven it as far as Florida to Texas without incidence. I bought this car with the intention of having it for years to come, then I got married, then my wife got pregnant and soon we will be having our twins! So I'm selling my car to make way for my 2 babies which will be my new projects. I'm a photographer and visual artist and took all the pictures in my studio as well as White Rock lake here in Dallas, Texas. This car is very original and never been hit in the front, or anywhere as far as I can tell. I have I have record from 1968 when the car was bought used by a man in Florida, there is even the sales man’s card with a used car warranty all from a dealership in 1968. My VW mechanics have been impressed that it still has so many stock parts like the pre-heat tubes, German muffler, rebuilt stock Solex carbs... The car was originally 6 volt and has been converted to the modern 12volt system. As you can see in the photos the entire car was insulated from top to bottom during the restoration which took place in 2006 by the previous owner. It's an amazingly quite ride compared to the rest of my VW's and the longer wheel base on the Type 3's makes for a smoother ride lacking the bounce most VW's have. One key fits the doors, glove box and ignition. The ignition was broken when I bought the car so it came with an on/off switch with a push start button. I never did get around to repairing the ignition as the car was mostly kept indoors. All doors work and latch perfect. Both doors have vapor seal barriers in place. All lights work as they should. Other than the right hand turn signal not staying engaged every single knob and switch works as it should. Gas tank is sealed and coated. The Orange paint was done in November of 2008 and is the color of the 911 Porsche GT2. As shown in the photo I have the paint code and print out for convenient reference. The floor pans are great and have little surface rust. Under the rear seat where the battery is located is coated with fiberglass to prevent any corrosion in the usual spots. Clean & Clear Texas title in hand. Any and every flaw in the paint has been meticulously photographed with a macro lens and a quarter for size reference. Recent improvements include: new clutch, shocks, stainless chrome body trim, new tint all around, carb rebuild, oil cooler, generator, switch panel, new tires (except spare), interstate battery, new tail light and turn signal lenses, window scrapers and felts, fog lamps, classic Texas black plates, steering damper. If you are serious about this car, I ask that you please spend the time to view both the included pictures and the short, detailed, Vimeo video, which covers about everything this car, has to offer. 1966 Volkswagen Squareback Studio + Running & Driving Click the link below to view video: http://vimeo.com/50569048 I reserve the right to cancel the listing. Typical rental fees are 350-500 per day and all you have to do is drive the car to the studio, park it on set and watch the magic happen. The RESERVE is almost met! Milan Bender
