Ok. So, here's the scoop. This truck was rear-ended by a drunk driver last Christmas. My husband was on his way home from work to celebrate the holiday with our nine children and I when a complete idiot rear-ended him at a stop sign. The guy then got out of his car and ran. Awesome. Turns out he was not only drunk but also uninsured and unlicensed. Even better. Not. Sadly, because we do have 9 kids and the economy being what it is, we only had liability on the truck, IE insurance didn't cover the repairs needed. We found an "awesome" mechanic to fix it. He was willing to keep it at his shop and work on it as we found the $$$ to pay for the repairs. Sounded too good to be true. It was. He robbed us and took off and is still missing. And the truck... still not fixed. It has sat because we just don't have the finances to repair it. My husband had an estimate done by Allstate and was told it would cost $2500 for the work to be done. We know this truck, when repaired, will be worth much more than we're asking. Everything works except the A/C. The tailgate is what needs to be fixed. It doesn't close and needs to be reattached. It honestly kills me that we have to let this truck go but we know we just don't and won't have to money to do the work. I'm hoping someone else does. A mechanic maybe??? Who knows how to do the work himself and knows the resale value of an Avalanche.... Please email with any questions or offers. Located in southern NJ
