1984 Jeep CJ7 Laredo - This jeep is an original survivor that has not been cut up or modified in anyway. It is bone stock and rare to find in this state. Overall the jeep is in very good condition and drives very well. Drive train - 258 Engine runs well, trans and T-case both shift well. Carb was replaced last month and is currently tuned for sea level. All hoses and belts replaced. Both axles are in good shape with no issues. Differentials are open/open with I believe 3:73 gears. Has the normal CJ7 oil drip or but nothing major, less than a drop a week on the driveway. New owner will need to tune the carb/engine for their elevation as the new carb is tuned for sea level (Holley factory settings). Interior - 100% original and in very good condition. Paint and body in the interior are very clean. no sign of rust on the floor pan. New carpet kit. Seats are the original stock leather (pleather?), driver's seat has some wear, the rest are perfect. The Laredo package included a clock on the dash and a stock tach, both are working, also the leather wrapped grab handle is in great condition. Everything on the interior works. All gauges work, fuel gauge is a bit jumpy, sender could likely stand to be replaced. Wired for the fog lights, but none installed on the bumper. All door seals and Hardtop seals have been replaced. Exterior - This is the Laredo edition, so it came stock with the chrome package, wheels, bumpers, hood hardware, mirrors, all in good condition. Paint is in good condition for the age. I believe it is an older re-spray, but is the original color so difficult to tell. Has the retro stripes and LAREDO on the hood. There are some chips and scratches as well as a little rust, as you would expect with the age. see pics, hood and right front quarter panel. Also some rust behind the windshield brackets. All repairable if you choose to do so. This jeep has 232,000 miles, but you can hardly tell. It shows, runs and drives quite well and was well taken care of to have survived in this good of condition. The only modification that has been done to this jeep is I replaced the leaf springs with Superlift 1" lift springs to give it a better ride. The small 1" lift is hardly noticeable and actually gives it a great ride height for 31" tires. Looks better than stock, but without the lift and big tires.The jeep is stock and in original condition. I've gone through the jeep in the past couple months and replaced anything that was none functional or dried out and old. On Oct-16-12 at 12:14:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a few questions about the jeep so I figured I would provide answers to all bidders/watchers. 1. Is there rust under the rear quarter panel diamond plating? Answer: No. diamond plate was installed by the previous owner and I have never removed it. From what I can see looking on the inside of the corners, there is no rust and no damage to indicate that there is rust. My assumption is they were installed for extra protection and painted to match the jeep. they riveted on, so I will not be removing them to inspect. 2. How many owners are there? Answer: Ebay vehicle report shows 1, but I have records of 4 owners, I am the 4th 3. Is it a reliable driver? Answer: It's a 28 yr old vehicle that has not had a full restoration, it is what it is. That said, I have been driving it for the past several months and it has not left me stranded. This is my 6th CJ7 and I currently own 3, so I have to say I know my way around a CJ...they are easy to work on and do require attention.
