I'm helping my father sell his 1966 Hipo Automatic Mustang. The car is located in Caro, Michigan and can be viewed in person. This car has been shown at local and national shows and has won many awards. This matching numbers gem is ready for its new home. The history of this Mustang: The car was purchased by my father in 2001. It had been painted white sometime in the past. After driving and enjoying the car for two years it was decided to have the car professionally painted back to the original Night Mist Blue. While the car was being painted the engine was pulled and taken completely apart. The engine was in great working order, so we had the valve seats hardened and put the engine back together. Over the next couple of years my father continued to restore the car and added some comfort touches. New steel styled wheels with red line tires, new front windshield, new front seat covers, and head liner. The Mustang has all the correct and unique K code parts. Correct balancer, correct alternator pulley, correct carburetor (specific to the hipo automatic) and original exhaust manifolds. The engine even has its original engine tag. The engine is Vin stamped but difficult to see after the engine was repainted, (sorry could not get a good picture). Behind the rear seat you'll find the correct reinforcement pieces and reinforcement in the rear frame rails the are unique to K codes mustangs. It also has the 9" rear-end with a 3.50 gear.
