Vehicle Detail
This is an original Team Hammer/Team Valvoline Suzuki GSXR750 Super Sport bike with 4,8xx original miles (not a typo) but will go up a little when I take it out so it doesn't sit for too long. This is a piece of road racing history you can own and now legally ride. Team Hammer's owner John Ulrich and this bike's rider, Michael Martin validated the bikes authenticity. Team Hammer/Team Valvoline Suzuki received this bike new from Suzuki for the 1991 season. The bike was originally built to Super Sport legal specs and campaigned all through the 1991 season. The 1991 Road Atlanta 750 Super Sport race was the last race that this bike was professionally raced in. At the end of the 91' season, Team Hammer sold this bike to an individual in Texas. In 92' the 2nd owner road raced it as a privateer for 8 races, then decided to build it into a "Show Bike" and then showed the bike across the country for several years where it won trophies every where. The bike has a ton of factory race parts as well as custom "one off" built items the 2nd owner installed. The engine is a 771cc, believed to be built by Race Engine Service in Alvarado Tx. The 2nd owner told me the engine was built right before the 91' Road Atlanta race and was basically brand new when he got the bike in 92'. After it was built into a show bike in 93'-94'....it was showed from 94' on to about 98' we believe, then it was sold to a Restauranteer in Dallas Tx where the bike was put on display inside of a Hot Rod themed restaurant for about 7-8 years, The bike has a clear Texas Blue. Bike isn't perfect (could use a little paint touch up) but you definitley won't find another like it!!!!! In the last 2000 miles it has had a basic service/tune up, carb rebuild (carbs need to be fine tuned), new fuel lines etc, all working lights, almost new pilot power tires, and is ready to ride. The bike now has original Mikuni BST38ss carbs on it and runs pretty well. The bike only has a little over 4800 original miles, the engine is smooth and quiet with WAY too many custom one-off built race parts.
