Vehicle Detail
Selling 72 Chevelle 2 door coupe with a 69 350 engine, T350 automatic transmission. Body and frame details: Frame is solid with no rot. Body has had new floor pan welded in trunk, but there is still some metal work to be done back there. The trunk seal area is solid and the trunk hasp support is sturdy. The gas tank is still out since the trunk isnt finished. The roof needs work because the vinyl roof cause some small rotten spots.(see pics) Around the rear window there is some rot. See pics. Underneath the windshield there is a half-dollar sized rot hole near the bottom of the passenger side windshield pillar. Al the glass is intact and usable. I have most of the chrome trim for the windows. In the passenger compartment the foor has had a patch welded in on the drivers side front (see pic). Passenger side front has a small rot hole (see pic). The floor in front of the rear seat area is fairly solid. Floor under the rear seat has at least one small to medium sized hole. The passenger side has a new rear quarter welded in from the level of the door handle, not to the roof as some. Door has some body filler, Window gaskets are dry rotted. Rocker panel is in fair condition. Front fender has a few small holes drilled in it. Hood was a cowl induction but now has an L88 scoop bonded on like a Baldwin Motion Chevelle. It's function because there is a hole under the hood from the cowl induction. Driver side fender has a very small dent. Door has a small amount of rot in the lower door jam area (not seen with door closed). Driver's rear quarter was not replaced, but has a smaller metal patch and bondo. Bumpers are in good condition but chrome is not perfect. Interior is in very bad condition. Dash has a split in pad, rear seat fabric is dry rotted and torn. rear panels are good, door panels are shot. I have two Camaro buckets in fair to bad condition that go with it. Headliner is shot. Engine runs and idles sweet. Click on Youtube link to hear it run. It started life as a 69 Chevy 350 w/ 255 HP, 4V. (engine # T0522HV) Has a crane cam, headers, Weiand aluminum intake and Holley carb. It does run but I have a one gallon plastic jug hanging off the hood pin to yard drive it and move it when necessary. The car is blue in the video but factory color was brown. http://youtu.be/2zPLMjm_amI Transmission is a Turbo 350 which is what the car came stock with. It has a leak so I have to add fluid whenI drive it. Havent looked to see where its leaking from but all gears work 1,2,3 + R. Rear end is a 10 bolt and I never bothered to find out the gear ratio. If its important email me and I'll find out. Car has four 14X7 Corvette Rally wheels with trim rings. I dont have the center hubcaps. The exhaust system is intact and in fair condition. from headers to over the rear. I require a nonrefundable deposit of $300.00 through paypal or cash within 48 hours of end of auction. Otherwise I will accept cash or Paypal. I will not accept a Bank check as computer technology makes then easy to fool the bank with these days. (I'm told the bank will cash a good forgery then charge the person cashing it when it turns out to be bogus) Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Happy bidding.
