*UPDATE 10/5/12: Just took the car to the renowned La Jolla Independent BMW, they work exclusively on 70's and 80's BMWs. The head mechanic looked over my car and even took for a long test drive. He said it was the nicest 635 he's ever seen and said, "what did you pay $17-$18K?" He could not find a single issue with the car and concluded by saying, "there's just one thing you need to do, drive it!" This car has less than 300 miles on it this whole year. I will drive it a few miles every day just to run gas through the system for cleansing purposes. Come get this thing, it's just waiting to be driven... Bought this from the original owner, a rare-car collector. Has 48,517 original miles. It's not only a 635csi, but an even rarer luxury edition called the L6. Only roughly 1,200 were ever produced and only in the US. I have the original dealer invoice and original window sticker, it was $52,000 in 1987. The M6 was $54,000. 100% stock and original, even has Michellin TRX tires (10,000 miles on them) and original E24 wheels in perfect condition. Lowest mileage 635 or L6 in the country, I searched the country long and hard for this thing! Not many L6's out there, none like this I'm sure. Truly must see to believe. This is nearly museum or concourse quality. The interior still smells brand new, no exaggeration. Leather is PERFECT, like new. No signs of wear anywhere, soft and supple condition. All gauges, buttons and controls look like we are in 1987. Everything works on the car. Have more pictures if you want them. One look at this car clearly shows the amount of care and just pure lack of use it has gotten since 1987. 215 horsepower 6 cylinder, 4 speed automatic. 240 ft/lb of torque. A/C blows ICE cold, even has rear A/C and a rear cooler between the seats. Original paint shines like BRAND new. Car was kept in climate-controlled storage and was only driven on very rare occasions.
