Vehicle Detail

2007 Vectrix Maxi Scooter Fully Electric, SAY NO TO GAS This scooter needs absolutely nothing. No tears, no missing parts, no problems. This is a great vehicle and lots of fun to ride. This is not a scooter for kids, or the kind career alcoholics ride. This is a 62 mile an hour electric scooter. It accelerates so smoothly, that you'll forget you're even on a scooter/motorcycle. I almost forgot to put my feet down the first time i rode one. The only real noise you hear is a hum and slight whine as it accelerates, well....and the wind in your ears. It's like riding a magic carpet. You can ride it to work, or school, plug it in if it needs it, and ride it home. Plugs into a standard outlet, with an on-board battery charger. The cord is in the storage compartment under the seat. The storage compartment has all kinds of room for a jacket or two and a lunch, maybe some books for class, or laptop, or a half bushel of apples for the teacher. Rides two comfortably, and still accelerates well. IF YOU WANNA BUCK THE SYSTEM-BUY NO GAS! Vectrix Scooter Specifications Maximum Speed: 62 mph / 100 km/h Acceleration: 0-50 mph (80 km/h) - 6.8 seconds 0-31 mph (50 km/h) - 3.6 seconds Range: 35-55 miles (55-90 km) per charge depending on speed (If you accelerate fast, it will use more battery) Braking: Patented multi-function throttle (DAaRT) regenerative braking and slow-speed reverse( Regenerative throttle charges the battery on braking, like most hybrids do, but this is a fully electric) Front and rear Brembo disc brakes (the brakes are amazing) Pirelli: GTS23 120/70-14 (Front) & GTS24 140/60 13 (Rear) Battery Type: Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) 30 Ah, 3.7 kW-h Voltage: 125V 1.5kW on-board battery charger 110V-220V (50/60Hz)( you can ride it to work and plug it into a standard 110 volt outlet in USA, standard 220 volt elsewhere) Recharge Time: 2 hours (80% charge) Motor: Brushless DC, radial air-gap motor Peak Power: 20 kW peak power at 3000 rpm Weight: 462lb (210 kg) Wheelbase: 60" (1525 mm) This scooter belongs to a friend of mine, bought it used because it was cool and different. Now he has decided to thin his herd out a bit. I personally bought five Vectrix scooters 3 years ago from the local Vectrix dealer when Vectrix went through their reorganization. I shipped one to Dallas, one to Florida, one to New York, I also crated one and shipped it in a container to New Caledonia, South Pacific, and another one to Germany. Getting overseas shipping quotes takes time and research, and a proper address and nearest port. I am willing to ship this anywhere. Shipping is costly. Crating will be $500.00 which includes a solid crate with a pallet base, cycle bolted to the pallet, and inflatable air bags to cushion the cycle during shipping. There is a substantial savings when having the unit shipped to a port rather than your home-the amount varies on location versus the port. 5 scooters shipped not one complaint. Continental US shipping is done by contract cycle carriers and car haulers. Many of these are available online.
