I am selling my 1980 CJ7 with original metal body with NO RUST. Body is in very good condition considering the age and has been both undercoated and rustproofed inside. Jeep has less than 60,000 original miles with less than 5,000 miles on a rebuilt 350 Chevy engine with a holley 4 barrel and a slight cam and electronic ignition. Motor runs strong and was just given a $300 tune up including plugs, points, distributor cap and coil. Has 4 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel drive, manual lockout hubs, power steering, newer manual brakes including calipers, master cylinder, brake hoses and brake lines. New aluminum radiator with electronic cooling fan. All lights and turn signals work. Wipers work but do hang up from time to time indicating it is in need of new "push arms" which are easy to change inside windshield housing. Seats are in very good shape with just a couple of small spots on the drivers seat. No back seat but has the tub utility carpeting through out. Padded roll bar. Top is an older Best Top that is beginning to show it's age but is completely serviceable and includes the doors. No radio, you couldn't hear it anyway as jeep is quite loud with burnt out cherry bomb type mufflers that exhaust on the side by the doors. I liked the noise as it really sounds good with the cam. Vehicle rides on aluminum rims and Goodyear Wranglers 33 x 12.5 x 15 with plenty of tread left but are beginning to show some age also. I just drove it 500 miles from northern Ohio during the hottest part of the summer with no tire problems or mechanical issues. There is no spare. Paint job is probably a 7 or 8 out of 10 and is a one of a kind color mixed from left over paint: some say it looks gray, some say it looks blue and some say it looks greenish, take your pick! I am selling now as we just moved to Tenn and are both retired and have no need of two vehicles any longer. Being sold as is with a clear Ohio title, local pickup only and is being offered locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. I believe the reserve price is below the value of this vehicle. I know it is slightly less than what I paid for it earlier this year. Winner to pay $500 thru paypal within a couple of days of auction ending and balance due in either cash or certified check or MO. No personal checks so don't ask. Pro's: Runs strong and is very dependable, looks and sounds good, many new parts including brakes, radiator, lights, NO RUST, just tuned up and ready to drive away, nice rims and decent tires, less than 5,000 miles on rebuild, undercoated, frame is straight and again NO RUST, steering is tight, brakes are great, seats are nice, all lights work, etc etc Con's: Top is getting old but is still serviceable, no radio, is loud (this could be a plus as my wife refuses to ride with me allowing a little "free time" if you know what I mean), fuel gauge does not work (what else is new on an old jeep) but the guy I bought it from who rebuilt it says he put all new stuff in the tank and it just needs the new gauge in the dash.
