It is time to say good bye to the Most Awesome car I have ever had the pleasure of owning, or driving! I am selling my Beautiful 1997 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe. This is the most desirable Viper to own for many reasons. The 97 Was part of the very short run of Factory forged motors (96-99) In 97, and in only 97, The car came with the best sounding cam they ever put into these cars. It's called the "708" cam, and really gives this Beast the true muscle car sound, and loppy idle that warn of the power this big V10 has! If you've ever driven a GTS Viper, you know the pure thrill that is unleashed when you push the throttle! The torque and power this car puts down is breathe taking! The rarest part of my car is it's pure unmolested condition. It's becoming nearly impossible to find a nice 97 GTS that isn't either beat up, or modified, and ruined. My car is solid Red with no tacky stripes, and has the black leather interior. The car is in nearly mint condition. I'd rate it a 9.5 out of 10. The only flaws are very minor, but I want to disclose them. There are some scratches under the front chin (that you can't see unless you get on the ground) and there is a scratch and slight discoloration on the passenger side sill that covers the exhaust. The discoloration came from an overheated catalytic converter due to the cam sensor going bad. That has been fixed, and the cat replaced. I didn't paint the sill because it is barely noticeable, and I didn't want to put any paint work on the car. The AC also has a slow leak, but a refill should last the season. The body and paint on the car are 100% original, and flawless. The interior is clean, and shows pretty much no sign of wear whatsoever! With just about 30,000 miles on the car, its averaged only 2,000 miles per year, and has never seen snow, salt, or even rain! I have not had time to drive and enjoy this car at all, that is why I am selling it. I am a perfectionist, and because of that, I have recently done a lot of maintenance on the car. I have recently spent thousands of dollars on little things here and there that make this car Ready to be enjoyed by it's new owner for years to come!! All within the last few months, and less that 300 miles I have done the following: - New Plugs and Wires - Synthetic Oil Change - Passenger Side 02 Sensor - Passenger Side Catalytic Converter - Cam Sensor - Oil Pan Gasket - Cam Seal - Water Pump - Kumho Ecsta XS Tires (all 4) - Brakes (front and rear, pads and rotors!) My Car is bone stock except for a very nice $500 Carbon Fiber K&N cold air intake (stock one also included) and Flowmaster axle back exhaust. These two things are just to make the car breathe a little better. This car is otherwise 100% Stock, and not molested. It also comes with two sets of keys and remotes, the Original window sticker of $70,000, and a Viper Specific Car Cover! The car has never been beat or raced, but is ready for it if that's what you want to do with it! You can't find a more capable, sexy, or exotic car on the market for anywhere near this price range! The GTS Viper is a Timeless piece of art, much like its ancestor the Shelby Cobra. This car will never go out of style! Every time I drive this car, I get thumbs up, waves, compliments, and people just want to talk to me about it. I hate to sell this car, but I need to free up the money for some other projects. I have the free and clear title in hand, and ready to go. This is an opportunity to own a true collectors car, a real race car, and sexy exotic all in one!
