Vehicle Detail
For sale is a beautiful 1971 Plymouth Duster. Currently has a non-numbers matching 360 block, which has been bored .040 over, honed with torque plates, line honed. Currently running a 4" eagle stroker crankshaft (internally balanced along with the entire rotating assembly) with eagle "h" beam rods, diamond racing forged aluminum pistons with a 10:01 compression ratio. Also using (zero deck) fel pro head gaskets, (this is a very pump premium gas friendly motor) edelbrock performer aluminum heads that were gently massaged by a very well known head porting company and gasket matched.Engine using an edelbrock rpm performer intake that was also gasket matched. Lunati custom flat tappet hydraulic cam (specs unknown but I think they were in the area of .540 lift and .292 duration) (this cam, because of it's grind, lsa and installed position, produces significant cylinder pressure and huge low end torque with a flat curve and also aided in an instant throttle response situation) Cloyes double roller timming chain with multiple keyways. Melling high volume oil pump and oversized pick up tube and a windage tray with 7 quart milodon oil pan which includes a high power magnet near drain plug. Trend moly custom length push rods. Crane adjustable roller rocker arms (valve tips only). arp fasteners throughout. Mopar finned aluminum valve covers with cork gaskets. a "pro systems" 750 carb. Motor makes in the area of 520 hp and 450 to 500 ft lbs of torque. This motor was built by well known "best racing engines" of warren Michigan and ALL parts were brand new at the time of assembly. Motor has under one thousand miles and used brad penn oil ONLY with a zddp additive to aid in longevity. The trans is a 727 with a bolted in sprag, 4 gear front and rear planetary gears, high performance band, raybestos blue clutches and brand new steels. Trans-go 2 shift kit with a new pump using stock pan. This trans was put on a trans dyno, (not many trans dyno's in this town)This trans was done by a very well known trans shop in the Detroit area, and shifts like it should, normal driving it shifts nice but stomp the gas and it will knock the fillings out of your teeth between 1st and second. This trans is perfect for that "stick it in drive and mat the loud pedal" this is not a manual valve body trans. The converter is a "coan" 10" 3000 stall loose and flashing it produces severe tire smoke. Rear end is an a-body 8 3/4" with green bearings, a brand new center section with 3:91 richmond gear set and new auburn unit. This car has all brand new brake, trans and fuel lines made of stainless steel. This car has tti ceramic coated headers, tti 2 1/2" exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers and stainless steel Mopar correct tips...all brand new. Front end has all brand new bushings...factory rubber style, new brakes including hoses, drums turned and still has enough material to turn again. Re-cored radiator. New belts and hoses. From the bulkhead of the firewall side forward, every wire harness is brand new.Engine compartment was plastic media blasted to bare steel, (zero rust repair needed), dp primed, sealed and painted with base and clear, all professionally done. This car lived all of it's life until 1998, in Huntington, West Virginia. It was owned by an adult lady; then when she passed it was given to her adult brother and he performed the all the trans, engine, suspension, and rear swap outs to make this car a 340 clone type car. This is an air conditioning car and has awesome tinted glass. I do have access to the a/c parts, which now reside in Florida, if you want them you can have them but you will need to pay the shipping costs. The interior of this car was very gently used and it's condition reflects that. My dad and his best buddy repainted this car in 1999 at a school that offered a body shop class that they took. My dad, his buddy and the teacher took 38 weeks to perpare this car for paint. Then, my dad had a friend that is just a guru with paint, do the paint work. He used nearly one gallon of paint and applied 7 coats of clear. His work is so good that this car has never been wet sanded or buffed....never needed it. Just 2 small spots had clear runs and they were at the very bottom of the rocker panels. He used a run and sag file to remove them and that was it. This car was never in any type of a fender bender. The car retains all of it's original sheet metal. This car has all of the best parts money can buy and once the bugs are worked out, will be just a street car force to be reckoned with. This car does drive, but does need a small amount of TLC. All the mojor components are there and ready to go, just needs some fine tuning. This is a GREAT car and will be a great toy for someone. Shipping of this vehical will be up to the buyer. We will have no workings with the shipping side of this. An imediate down payment will be due upon winning the auction. You will have 15 days to make arrangments to get your vehical, unless other wise agreed upon by my self and buyer. Thank You, and good luck bidding.
