Up for sale is my 1974 Honda XL250. I'm not going to give you the crap line that it was stored in a warehouse or "barn find". I bought it about three years ago and never had any trouble with it. Always starts right up.The frame and engine have different serial #'s. I asked about this when I bought it and the previous owner said: "They don't have to match." So.... I don't know the story there. ONLY 4,800 MILES The bike starts first or second kick (with no choke!)---ENGINE RUNS PERFECTLY-through all gears with smooth shifts, great compression! The bike isn't perfect as far as cosmetics go. It has some minor scratches here and there but it's probably one of the best you'll ever find for a 74 model. I get stopped MULTIPLE times every day i ride it by people complementing me on how cool of a bike it is. This isn't true. It is a VERY RARE model, one of the few that came out with the blue and orange paint scheme. Also not true. All the xl250's from that year looked like this. I hope the next owner gets as much joy out of it as i have. This is true!
