1939 Chevy Two Door Master Deluxe Town Sedan. I was told this chevy is a one family owned car. I bought this chevy from the grandson of the original owner. He wanted to restore the car and keep it in his family but didn't have the money or time to do so. He called and offered me the car knowing that I collect vintage cars and trucks. We got together and I bought it. We were able to get current registration with a current matching numbers title. The new owner will be able to register the car with no problems. This chevy has been in the upper peninsula MI since new. Because of the history of being a one family owned car, they were able to give me the original title (voided) back so I can give it to the new buyer. This car also comes with the 1967 original plates when this chevy was last registered for street use. The car was parked in 1968 in a heated garage until the grandson picked it up in feb. of this year. He brought it to his home in Hermansville MI, and started to fix it up so he could use it as a daily driver. He put a different radiator in it, a battery, a aux gas tank, jumped to the coil ,and it started right up. He started to primer part of the car to protect the paint but ran out of money and time I bought the car and brought it to Iowa in June. I have no place to store it for the winter so I am offering it for sale. I started the car and drove it about a mile and found that the mechanical issues are wrong radiator, the master cylinder should be replaced(no brakes) , original wire harness should be replaced, new battery, reverse gear grinds (no reverse) but 1st second and third shift the way they should. The clutch works. The starter and fuel pump etc are all good. The floor pans have rust as pics show but the doors, body, fenders, hood ,and trunk are solid. The car has the original "body by fisher" tag on pass side cowl (pictured). All chrome grill and bumpers are intact. It has the rare town sedan package ( rear arm rest, clock, temp gauge in radio, tool storage compartment in trunk, etc.) the car would make a great restoration in that it is very original or make it a daily driver with very little effort. All of the windows go up and down and all the glass is there. The title matches the vin plate. I do not want to overall this car or under describe it, let the video we took, the pictures, and description tell you the whole story. I set the reserve well below the market value to ensure the car will sell. I require a 500 dollar nonrefundable paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the required timeframe or before you come for the car, I will assume you are either a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying this chevy. Deposit: a 500 dollar deposit must be paid by paypal or wire transfer within 24 hours of auction end. Items will not be available for pickup or shipping until full payment is received and cleared by our local bank. Buyer has 7 days to pay in full either by wire transfer or cash in person. If customer can not make it in 7 days to pick up, please call and we can make arrangments. All items are sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind unless specified in the ad. We reserve the right to remove any listing due to on site sales. We also require that bidders internationally or with feedback score of zero contact us.
