I am selling a nice 1975 Honda CB500T - 2 cylinder motorcycle. It is in good overall condition, and has very few miles. It had been sitting a while before I bought it earlier this year at an auction. The metal work is in good condition, I put in a new battery and replaced the right side control with a correct New Old Stock one from here on eBay. I have replaced the retro-fitted coils that were on it with the correct original coil set. I rebuilt the carbs with a carb kit from here as well. Included is a very nice factory Shop Manual and an Original Owners Manual as well. I replaced the front tire with a good used one I had, the rear is a bit dried out and should be replaced. The starter clutch was intermittent so I replaced that too. I changed the oil and cleaned the oil filter too. Try as I may, I cannot make this motorcycle run well. It starts and idles pretty good, but will not take throttle under load. I checked the timing etc.. and it seems OK. I am not a Honda mechanic, so it could be a simple thing - but I have other motorcycles and very little time to mess with this bike. My loss your gain etc... I bought this machine on a whim because I used to have one as a kid - and had a lot of good memories riding it around. I just can't justify spending much more time or money on this bike anymore. So - I'm letting it go. Everything works - all electrics etc... If you are familiar with these bikes, or like this one enough to spend a couple hundred on a Honda Mechanic's time - you should end up with a nice '70's machine to ride around.
