Vehicle Detail
This is my 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 I purchased this car about 6 months ago. Bought it as a great daily driver and with the hopes of restoring it in the future. Unfortunately my situation has changed and I need to sell it now. First, I would have to say this car is a blast to drive had a great summer with it! It is a great driver which you can enjoy and restore a little at the time if you chose. I purchased the car from a gentleman who owner it for over 20yrs. During this time it was garaged and driven by him in hopes to restore it. He collected basically every part you would need to restore the car. Plus he also bought alot of spare parts for the car. I even have another engine and trans. To many parts to list (see pics). I have garaged it as well and taken great care of it. The car has some small rust spots overall it's in great shape. It has some interior issues like headliner and dashboard (which are included with parts). Overall this cars is very solid and drivers nice and straight. All body lines are straight as they should be. Really would make a great project for someone who know cars. Even in it's current state looks, runs and drives great. Here are some details about the car. Engine: 351 Cleveland with MSD electronic ignition, she purrs quite nicely! The Radiator is 2 yrs old and is aluminum, edlebrock carb and k&N air filter. The enegine has been all overhauled and it has some nice upgrades but still mostly original. It has a Hurst shifter and 4 speed trans. Smooth shifting and strong running car! Interior: Tach/ Fuel gauge and speedo (reads about 98k)Premium center console with 3 gauges, new radio (newer anyway). All interior lights work seats are in great shape back and front almost like new. Some of the gauges are not working right but that's a easy fix.The interior looks great! Fold down back seats as well in the car. It has nice loud speakers. Exterior: Some rust spots around rear wheel wield and the car could defiantly use a paint job to really bring it back to life. The engine is Awesome it runs Very Strong starts right up. It has a MSD Ignition so really makes the car run smooth. It has a newer exhaust system as well which sounds great. Overall the car is in great shape for the age. Here is a list of some of the parts: Torn down 351 Cleveland 2 bolt main, has never been touched, it is primed for someone. New Old stock front grill, and a new dash pad(not OEM, but used OEM.Intake for cleveland, 2 motorcraft carbs (need rebuild, but all there. a set of Headman shorty headers, old point distributor (yellow wires) a hurst 4 spd shifter kit and a set of chrome exhaust pipes.Wiring diagram for 73, chilton and in line fuel filters.Full car weather strip kit, I mean full car, if it is or was rubber on the car, it is in here. Engine dress up parts (ones on car are better than this, little white box to the right is an interior screw and fastener kit. Complete body fastern kit, if it attaches to the body, it is here. Extra parts from 351 cleveland, everything here to put the motor and transmission back together. Please feel free to ask any questions. Buyer is reasonable for all transport and charges! It was to be replaced by a smaller, lighter breed, therefore, most of the changes for '73 were merely cosmetic. A large, square, chrome headlamp bezel appeared, as did chrome trim around the tail lights. A color keyed Urethane front bumper replaced the chrome units of the previous years. The front parking lights were now placed vertically in the front grille. A new, grained, black applique with bright trim was placed on the rear body panel between the tail lights. This was replaced with a honeycomb style on the Mach 1 and Grande models. The 1973 Mustang convertible was to become the last Mustang convertible for many years. There were a total of 134,867 Mustangs produced in 1973.
